so my cousin and I did a few races tonight, and they were so really good ones at that!

The outcome was that his stock SRT 4 ( well it has a k an N filter)
Is a bit faster in end of 2nd through 3rd then the ss/sc with a 3.0 pulley.

we did it from a roll and a dead stop , rolled at 20, and 40, from 40 it wasnt so bad, only beat me by a very small amount. From a dead stop i actually managed to beat him once.

Once i hit 4th and he was in 4th we were dead even as far as acceleration. he wasnt pulling on me but i wasnt gaining on him. It seems though in 3rd gear he would pass me or close any gap i had created.


All in all great races. They are great cars, faster and what seems like more potential then our ss/sc.

I also wanted to add, that i believe if i had the stage 2 tune with the 7k redline i would have won. The races were that close, but he still manged to win most of them, and my driver mod is better then his. His car had to big of an advantage .

I can see that time to mod more mufucka!!! Defeat is only inspiration to be better. Unless you get beat all the time, than u should just give up

 

Considering that 3.0 pulley isn't really tuned correctly and I don't see you having any other bolt ons .. driver mod would help too if your not launching not all that great.

That is pretty true. Everytime I get beat I buy another mod. I haven't been beat in a while though....damn I even took down a 05 mustang gt the other day in Long Island. However, my 2.6 inch pulley and 60 lb injectors shall be arriving to me the end of this week hopefully.

Yeah dude, with just an exhaust I was dead even with my friends 05 acr. With intake and exhaust I was pulling away from him. Maybe he was power shifting.

Dude, just go with a 2.5 or 2.6 inch pulley with 60 lb injectors and tune. Then get some rims and springs and call it a day.

you dont really need to bro...GM has already proven that its a strong block, my man. Just need money and you can have as much hp as you want, this block isn't really limited to be honest...maybe to like 1200 hp or something but thats just too much.

 

our cars are pretty close stock for stock with the SRT-4. They have the edge though. Unfortunate thing, mod for mod - dollar for dollar, we will NEVER catch them, haha.

 

This is the most accurate and realistic statement I have read in a long time..

Stock for Stock with both awesome drivers they are a pretty close race...

But SRT-4s have way more after-market support and it sucks cuz I wanna see some wicked Coblats in UTAH. Maybe in time.

 

It is to bad that the aftermarket for the SRT-4 is like the aftermarket for the 5.0 Mustang.

 

cheap and full of power, unfortunately it sucks that both the cobalt and the srt4 suffer from something some people refer to as FWD. Thats why the lujan motorsports built srt4 is only 10.74 and no oh I dont know 9.8.

lol i agree too man. theres a black cobalt ss/sc here in miami that rapes stage 3 plus srt4's! The ss/sc has a kenne bell SC swapped in it.

got specs on him, but he wouldnt say how much he dynod. i told him about the forums and he said that the forums are for slow pussies. But his front mounted heat exchanger led me to believe that he has lurked around

 

An average S3 SRT-4 pushes easily over 350-360WHP...

So a Cobalt would have to be VERY HIGHLY modded to beat one...

Have any specs?

 

i dynoed almost 320 something <not on HOM> on my stage 3 srt4. I know that already. LOL the kids only on 11 pounds of boost too
