Just got roasted!!!

Damn my brother's friend just roasted my car in his 05' Mustang GT. Hes got Full exhaust , Headers, intake, and Throttle body. He beat me by 8 cars in a short 1/8th mile street race. The little LS just couldnt handle it.

Slap a 100 shot on the LS and have a rematch.

What were you thinking??? You can't even closely hang with a stock GT. Try a v6 and you'll have to stop because you'll be laughing too hard to pull another 2 lengths on him after the first 3 times in the same race. Lol...

I ran a 9.99 1/8th out at Kennedale. I was the first LS to break into teh 9's and that was with me removing spare tire, rear carpet, back seat, and runnign 1/4 tank of gas. On that gun I was paired with a GT on slicks and he onyl ran a 8.9. I figured WTH lets see what a lightly modded GT on street tires can do. I didnt realize the 05GT is almost 30hp stock over the 98 I raced that day. Then my bros friend told me after his mods he was DYNOing another 40hp over that witht the new mods.

You do realize theres more then one vid of an 05+ Mustang v6 putting many car lenghts on a 2.2 in a short time, and all participents are members of this forum and have backed it up?

Edit: Just saw above posted basically say what I said.

2.2 vs v6 stang has been proven many times and the LS gets owned..
The LS that I had to drive would be a good match for a Yaris.

Do you not realize his car is rear wheel drive with lots of torque, and you ran an 1/8th mile race which makes the low end even more important. You could not have set that race up better for his car.

I lost to a new gt with roush stage 1 and full boltons including underdrive pulley. I have 245whp and he beat me by a car length. So i cannot imagine an ls having any chance against that car sorry and a v6 will still beat you sorry again.

ROFL the V6's cant even touch me. I have beat them numerous times by 2 and 3 car lengths. As soon as I hit third I walk them. In a couple days I will post up a video we shot last week of me walking away from a Focus SVT. 3 Car lengths in a 1/8th.

ding, ding, aaaaaaaaaanddddd ding

the 2.2 beat me when i spun thru first, part way thru second and misshifted into fifth instead of third haha. now when i drive like i actually have two arms, its a different story.

if you don't think that was fair, just look further down, there is another 2.2 there. granted they both let off after a bit, we (in the mustangs) were pulling far too hard for them to catch up.

most of the autos that have gone to the track have gotten close to if not hit your 15.1 with stock everything... do some reading up before you talk smack about stuff.

the 2.2 is very respectable for what it is, but don't go talking **** about faster cars.

who put it down? the only put downs i see on here are directed at the v6 mustangs.

That's why I almost went to jail behind a heavily modded LS2. I never thought I'd see the day where I got flamed. Sorry for just talking about my own personal experiences. I've raced 2 v6 stangs (autos) and owned them. Now true, the newest ones walked me everytime, but I know what I've done. Like I said, I consider myself damn good of a driver in the first place because according to the s/c guys, I should've gotten owned when I didn't. Then they just say that the other guy was a bad driver. BULLSHYT!!! The SS's bash the 2.2's so hard it's rediculous. And if you think I'm raising the BS flag on my driving, check some of my posts and let me inform you I was getting HARD 2nd gear scratches off 99 Chevy Tracker with upgraded and sticky Khumo tires. Flame me if you want, I don't care. Because I know what I've done. The REALLEST ***** you'll ever meet... 1.

Nah these losers always flame anyone who spent less money their stupid ass's. They are pissed that people with "slower" cars are getting decent kills. And alot of people are mad that GM stated the 2.2 block is the best block they made and thats why it was chosen as the platform in the AC Delco Cobalt.

You are exactly right. If you read the line I stated before I said, "I figured WTH lets see what a lightly modded GT on street tires can do."

I just wanted to compare them. I had no intentions of beating him. I have no misconception of how fast my car is and for the most part I only race cars in my class. This race was purely for fun and I had fun doing it. I am suprised he only pulled me 8 cars or so because hes got in the range of 320 - 330hp in a torquey rear wheel drive car.

I dont care that people want to flame me. But it wasnt like I was trying to win. Hell if I wanted to win I would just jump in the ******* Talon Im trying to buy and it wouldnt even be a race.

WTF do u get ur info from...gm has never stated teh 2.2 block/head is the best ever. Infact in ecotec developemnt the 2.2 head is reaplced by the 2.0 lsj head and the block is replaced with a gmpp race unit...

and i think the 2.2 bashing comes from the fact that 2.2 owners seem to think their cars are unbeatable and ignore simple physics

Jump in the car you don't even own!!!!

And your engine does not share any parts with the AC Delco Cobalt's engine.

LOL, this is rediculous. You aren't taking down even a bone stock 05-07 v6 in a Cobalt LS, maybe the 94-97 ones that had a pathetic 145 hp, or a new edge auto.
