Kills at the track

Last night there was street legal racing at the track. The fisrt race i was up vs a 07 mustang gt. I took him all the way and ran a 14.2 at 101 60 foot was 2.3. mustang did a 15.9 at 88. Next run was vs another mustang but it was like a 90s mustang.

By this time the track was real slick. Both of our car were spining off the line. then i hit second and was gone. i did a 14.6 at 103 and he did a 15.3 at 93. Next few runs just got worst as the tarck was so slick.

The next one was a moded 350z both were still spining off the line all of first and some of second but stayed in front of him and this was with a friend of mine in the car. Idid a 14.8 at 102. he did a 15.2 at 98.

Last run was with a stock ss supercharged. I tryed to baby it to get grip but it didnt work but still was spining all of first. I did a 15.0 at 99 and he did a 16.3 at 90. Worst time of the night.

Track prep notwithstanding, Bad driver + High altitude + hot day = slow time.

I've seen S2's run 15 flat on a hot day at Bandimere. I could see a bad launch turning in a 16-second time in a stock LSJ. 9,000+ foot DA's are a bitch.

There's no way that was a GT.......The 2007 V6 Mustang runs faster than that.

He probably just had a bad run/couldn't drive.

I ran beside an 08 GT that ran 15.5

It was his first manual car, and first time at the strip. His best of the night was a 14.1, but he could still do better.

Anything can happen with a bad track and/or driver.

thats weird usually over time the track gets better due to all the rubber from ppl tires... i usually go from 14.4s first down to 14.1s later in the day

My buddy has a 08 Mustang GT he cant beat a 14.6.... he says he spins 2 much thats a let down because they are suppose to run high 13s low 14s... the guy u raced ran a 16.0 he is a terrible driver

I find the opposite at my track.

I usually race on a Wed night, and there is usually VHT still left over from Sunday events on a wed night early, but later in the night it is all worn off and the track gets worse.

Nice runs, wow that track must really suck or they just didn't bother doing much, if any prep on it since it was a Street Legal night.

Newer Mustang GT's here are usually mid to lower 13's.

stock gts are lucky to break into the 13s at all at SIR. My buddy has a cobra and his fastest time is 12.9. another friend has a full bolt on geared n2o t/a that runs 12.4 and my other homie with a whipple cobra runs a 12.4. shitty track + shitty elevation = shitty times

DEC 14th

you guys should head out to SIR dragway on the 14th. The track will be preped and should produce pretty good times for the altitude. Ill will most likely be there with my Sky Redline from New Mexico

there is nothing nice about them. Getting the low 14's was good, but man, 15 sec 1/4mi is crazy....

the 15.9 i can see with a shitty driver, but the 88mph trap, unless he missed a gear and drifted through the traps, that was a V6.
