my mods in sig, he was stock other than long tubes and 600 lift cam. he said he put down 420/390. both races he missed 3rd(he said stock pressure plate isn't strong enough past 6500rpm)both races were from 40-45.
race 1:I spun through 2nd, he spun very little. went to 115-120 and he had two cars on me.
race 2: I spun through 2nd(big surprise), he spun very little. I nls 3rd and shut down at 95-100 and he had half a car. I was pleased.
disclaimer:all racing took place in the underground railroad.

Nice ..... My dad has a Ls2 C6 and back when he had just intake and exhaust we did a couple 40 rolls and we were pretty even till 110-115 and he would start to inch away.
His car put down 368 Whp on New Era Performance's dynojet after they tuned it...... it was 361 Whp on the stock tune.

The more mild cams like that work great in higher RPM range... I would like to see his dyno... its not so much how much peak power he makes but what the curve looks like... and considering its an LS motor those torque curves look like a surgeon's table.
Good runs op... even if you had him in the beginning he would have you in the end.

Like when I raced my dad's vette... Its an 2002, auto convertable (slow as grandma in a walker)... I can put a frieght train on that car but after 130 he starts pullin me back in... At that speed the balt has the aerodynamics of a brick.
Hahah ..... yep , the Vette's have a lot better AERO than what we do....even the older C4's . My dad sent his C6 to east coast supercharging and had a paxton SL1500 centrifical blower installed and now I find myself speeding alot lol. You can be doing 100 so easily that you don't even notice your doing it.
If i don't check the speedo regularly ....I can be doing 85-90 with less wind or road noise than my SS at 55 lol
so I was driving down the underground railroad again, and spotted a c6 with a 30-day tag. got beside him around 65-70 and dropped to 3rd and gooched it a couple times, then I awaited his rebuttal. he punches it and off we go, dead even up until 130 where I shut down due to harriet Tubman up ahead. I'm going to assume this was a bone stock ls2 and an auto as I didn't see his headlights bounce around.
the stock ls2 pressure plate isn't strong enough to shift after 6500rpm is what he told me. in the back of my head I was thinking if that's the case shift at 6500 then. but I agree had he hit 3rd I would've gone home and cried.
We are still running the stock clutch setup in my dads car and it's holding 568 Whp with no problems so far....... we change the fluid every 2K miles or so ..... it turns black pretty fast.
If he doesn't change the the clutch fluid regularly .....he will have issues like that. Clutch dust contaminates the fluid pretty quick and causes a bunch of issues like clutch hang and stuck clutch pedals .

edit: I can't read, it's stock but are shifting past 6500rpm no problems?
We did have some issues with clutch hang when we first got the car .... thats when i got online and saw all the info about clutch dust and fluid contamination . It's been fine ever since.
If he is stock the rev limit is 6500 with a fuel cut at 6600..... we have 500 rpm over in the tune so we usually shift at 6500

I have the ms3 cam with a 3200 street stall with a stock a4 and that cam is a beast. Somewhat smaller duration will give it a little more in the low rpm range. I know with my a4 and 18x10's with KDW NT's my car spins if I drop the pedal anywhere under 40. But get going about 50 with a good gear ratio and shift point set to 6600rpm and that can is a beast. Power hits more like a turbo not much down low but hit 3500 where the power starts and peak HP hitting at about 6400 to 6700 depending on other mods like ported heads and they are a sick motor. Love my TC but.from driving both even from a roll and the extra weight it would easily eat up the TC. Waiting till I get the bolt ons and a tune to see the outcome then. Judging by my friends camaro with a smaller cam he was in low 12's right now with my poor traction it's a high 12 car but from a roll is where it comes to life and you can't hear the cam like when at a light. Love hunting mustangs mostly but a camaro or vette and even a BMW is always a fun hwy kill on my days out
