LNF Sedan VS 2015 Scat Pack Challenger
i'll keep this short and simple. Last thursday at the local car meet a guy with a brand new scat pack challenger wanted to have a little fun several us went out and did some runs.
sadly i did not have a passnger to video but here is how my race with the scat pack went.
From about 50mph me in 3rd and the challenger in 2nd he honks it off and on the hit i jump out about a full car length. i hit 4th and hold the car length on him and bye the top of 4th he was dead even with me .
we went back to the meet and he was a bit disapointed that a 4 door yellow cobalt held off his brand new 50k dollar challenger. lol

I would say the challenger woulda reeled him in...
motor trend: QUARTER MILE 12.6 sec @ 112.3 mph
a lot of them claming 12.2-12.4 times as well.

9.2lbs per hp in the cobalt vs 10.07lbs per hp in the scat pack (pulled up a challenger forum noted 417-420whp) and the curb weight is from C&D at 4200lbs, so the cobalt pulls until gearing takes over

I guess my expierence is different. my ls1 Camaro weight 3100 pounds and put down only 401hp cam only and ran 11.2xx
so my expierence is 1000lb less

going off of motor trends 1/4 mile trap speed of 112mph for the scat pack i'd say the race was about right due to knowing that my car trapped 111 spinning all of 2nd.
his gearing was taking over also after about 130 he started to inch away.

Look at the challenger trap speeds... barely over 110. That's slow as **** for the power.
I ran a new 6.4L one when they first came out, it couldn't even beat his cousin's new 5.0 mustang, my Z annihilated it on bottle. They supposedly only trapped about 108-110 back then, they've gotten slightly quicker, but aren't fast. My Z on motor alone was trapping 104, with 270whp and weighing about 3400lbs.
