My friend recently bought an '04 S2000. Just for fun we wanted to race. I've driven an S2000 before, but it was before I ever had the SS, so didn't really know how close the race would be. Well, he's stock, save for the top portion of the airbox removed and a K&N cone filter. Anywho, onto the race.

We raced twice, both from a roll. Both races pretty much went down the same. I held him till my 3rd (probally his 4th) gear. Even then he didn't pull on my very hard. But yeah, I lost, but it was a fun race.

Not bad though for a 2.4SS. Stock to stock..........2.4SS = 173hp/roughly 3000lbs. S2000 = 237hp/roughly 2800lbs.

 

yeah, 237hp is hard to beat out when it's in a small ass car like that. I'm hoping to race one shortly... still haven't had the chance. I keep driving past this guy in town, I figure it's only a matter of time till we're driving the same direction.

Nice death and good race. There is a guy here that has a 05 (I think it is) S2000 that he put a LS7 with a T56 behind it and trys to autocross it. Has alot of trouble with it cause of all the extra weight in the front but is still a badass car runs 10's on the drag strip.

 

One of my friend has a 02' S2000 and it was fast.. I don't be disappointed too much
