Had a little run in with a Genesis 2.0T today in Canada. He did a ricer flyby, passing about 6 cars on a busy road, But noticed that i was turning down the same road as him. As I turned I saw him Waiting around the corner. He rolled down the window and asked my mods and if i wanted to run. I said sure after he told me he had a bigger intercooler a BOV and an exhaust(Car sounded mean). He honked a 40, and jumped a half a car. By about 85 we were even and I pulled ahead around 100, when I shut down.It Was a solid race, I didnt think i standed a chance. But thoes are really nice cars.

Nice run! The Genesis are awesome looking cars, pack a punch too!

 

His had to be tuned. Stock they run a low 15. So a bolt on manual 2.2 would beat one.

 

Who knows. All I know is that he did not anticipate me beating him. He did not look happy.

 

I want one of the new 2013's... 274 HP stock on the base model. Good race story though man!

 

nice. I ran one a few times at the drags last night. The guy looked like he drove it off the lot and went staight to the strip with it, temp plates and all.

He was running mid-low 15's all night.

 

I raced a stock one w my stage 2 tune and apologized to him at the next light. I gave him the jump at a 40 roll

3.8s are a totally different story tho

 

The 2.0 genesis is kinda slow honestly. The new one should be a lot better, but they made it ugly.

 

1st gen 2.0s need a tune bad (gain 40+ hp just from it)
