LS1 GTO A4 vs Cobalt SS??

I have a '04 GTO A4 with (custom) diablosport tune, K&N Cai, and TB Bypass. My question is how do yall think my car would fare against a stock or mildily modded Cobalt SS?? There's a few around here locally and I wanna know what I'm up against??

When I was at the track there was a Stage 3 Cobalt SS there and he couldn't hook up for nothing. We raced and I pulled him out of the hole hard and beat him but he said he was pulling pretty hard toward the end of the track.

your an A4 so if its a midly modded ss from a roll it will be close. from a dig you should be able to win unless the ss has a gooddriver. anything more than a stg.2,exhaust, and intake, and it could be trouble for you

Appreciate the info and kind response. I feel like I'm in a hornet's nest though

I plan on getting full exhaust within the next couple months.

I don't know what the discussion was but most low altitude folks don't realize and fail the understand the devastating effects DA has on HP resulting in slower ET's and traps, until they expereince it 1st hand..

If they have never heard of DA that speaks volumes of a persons lack of knowledge of drag racing...

depends on the mods the cobalt has but it would probably take a pretty nice setup to make it close.

I think 30mph is the sweet spot as that A4 will reach down and grab 1st and really take off...

Heh, sometimes the V8 needs the edge, as seen in this video of me racing my son:

Oh yeah?

Have you seen the video of my 2006 SS LS4 W-body dyno?

I was called out by a LT1 car locally and I made this video to scare him off!

Its not bad for a stock LS4 auto at altitude....

the cars best time was a 14.79@95mph at 6000ft...

these cars run high 13's near sea level...
