lsj vs 08-09 gti?

on my way to work tonight i was at a light before the on-ramp to 295 N and he was there also, asked me what my mods were i said bolt on's and tune (everything was bolted on). I asked him for his. he said stage 1 and full exhaust. i have not a clue about vdubs so idk if he was lying or telling the truth. he asked if i wanted to go from a 40 if the highway was empty, i said as long as u honk. he said ok (the whole time im smiling because he wanted a 40 roll lol). highway was clear as far as my eyes could see. we line up. he beeps away. i give him the jump to let his turdbo spool at least. 40-125 i had him by 2˝ cars tops. i shut down and just let it engine brake down to 65 cruise. he pulls up next to me i give him a thumbs up and he gave 2 thumbs up back and yelled "wasnt expecting that haha."

cliff notes:
08-09 gti s1
06lsj (mods below)
40-125 cobalt wins by 2˝

those k03s dont really need much of a spool time. Especially on a stg1 or stg2 tune from apr/revo/giac etc...

I had a interesting run with one a long time ago with similar mods as yourself... But it was in the gtis meat of power. If you ever run across one again, try a 20-25 roll... it makes for a completely different run. Their k03s peak quickly and drop torque heavily by 4000-4500 rpm

grab video next time

as far as i can remember i had 2.8, 60's,he,cai,dp,1 step colder plugs, 2.5" catback, short throw shifter, and hp tuned. i had a stock header as well.

i forgot what tune the gti was running but he had dp,catback, tune, dsg, cai,cp,stock ic.

we did a 40roll after and his feeling really got hurt.

What was your fix? My SS started doing that same thing once i put in the 1 step colder plugs but for the lnf, only under load like in this video of yours so on the daily drive its fine.
