I raped the stock LS1 and me and the LS1 got gangbanged by the wrx... grrr
My mods: 3.1 pulley, 42's, zzp s2 pcm, N2MB dual feature, axle back 2.50 exhaust, 3inch catless d/p by ZZP (thank you guys for making it possible for me to shoot flames), air box mod and a good driver mod LS1 Camaro: Intake, Cat-back WRX: Built bottom end, Cut Gears, Built stock Turbo, i/h/e and god knows what else, huge front mount |

2 40 rolls, 1 25 roll and a 15 roll, all with same results

I would bet the wrx didn't really have a stock turbo if he pulled you from a roll.

I also call BS on the "raping" of the LS1 with your mods. Beat yeah if the driver isn't the best or an auto but you should have had your hands full of that Camaro and not rape one by 5+ cars... Tyler |
Built stock turbo could mean a lot of different things. To me, if this is what he claimed, then all that was stock on it was the housing and hot side size. Blouch and Forced Performance make a ton of different combo wheels for the cold/hot sides. Everything from mid 30 lb/min up to high 50s all in a stock trim.

build stock turbo could also mean it was modified = compressor housing machined out to fit a larger compressor wheel in there like the Enforcer turbos from Forward Motion or the FP Green turbos.
As an example you are talking about basically fitting close to a MOPAR S3 compressor wheel inside a stock turbo housing. Most of the time the only issue is the heat the turbo generates. So the BFMIC plus maybe water/meth injection helps to drop the temps back down to prevent detonation. They work though. :) Look stock but produce like 40 more whp depending on the setup, maybe more. As for fitting the STi turbo into the WRX, yep a guy I knew in England (american guy with american WRX '06) did that to his car. definitely helped him out. I used to walk his car with the WRX turbo on it. With the STi turbo, his other mods, and a professional tune, it was hard to beat him or I couldn't on the street. All races were from digs so the advantage of traction goes to him. |

Nice races. The WRX was not stock if he pulled you like that. Hell I beat my friend's 18G WRX by a car length or so, so he was lying to you. If the LS1 was auto or a bad driver I could see you pulling a car maybe, my friends stage 2 balt with a tune hung within 2 cars of a stock LS1 6 speed. I raced another friend's LS1 this weekend with intake, exhuast, and tune and I had a passenger and only pulled him by about 2 cars from 40-110, got that on on video :)

Was it an auto? 40 is a huge dead spot for them, but even then he should have ran you down after wards. Pullied cobalts aren't fast period, with all their bolt ons they are as fast as a stock LS1. So for you to "only pull two cars" (and saying only like you expected more) with a passenger means you are spraying or you raced a LT1. Bolt on LS1's can easily trap low 11X, you need a TVS to do that! Tyler PS, most of that becomes null and void if your sig isn't up to date too FYI... |

i call bull on crushing the camaro if its the ls1. and yeah the wrx was def not stock turbo if it was an 03 aka the bug eyed model. they have a 2.0 liter and stage 2 on them (off the shelf tune and tbe) will only get you 230-240 whp and 250-260 wtrq
