does anyone have or know of decent site for the specs off the svt contour for 99? i have a kid around here with a broke ass svt and he swears up an down that it will beat on 2.4. i thought maybe new it would but this car is junk. he is just one of those kids thats "my car is so fast" and stuff like that. i want to shut him up but he doesnt want to track it. he keeps trying to get me on the highway and see whos car is faster both acceleration and top speed, and im not about to take it to the highway for that. so till he gets the ***** to track it does anyone have info on it. by the way its stock motor and evefrything

 

they are pretty much perfectly even with a 2.4 performance wise. Low 15's stock, can dip into 14's pretty easily with a few bolt ons.

 

alright i was looking for a good page or something that i can look at and print out or email. i have told this kid that and he seem to think otherwise. i mean i went 15.2 first time at track with intake mod and muffler at the time. and it wasnt the best started cuz i started to wheel hop at the line but still pulled out the 15.2. his car is completely stock and has like 163,000 miles or so one it.

no no not on my car. i only have 16k miles on mine. this kids svt has that many miles and he hasnt tracked it yet but seems to think he can take me.

 

i know....they were two different sentences. I was laughing at his mileage and asking what your trap was.

you should take him. They trap about the same as you stock in good condition, but obviously his is not, you can take him.

 

i was thinking the same thing. i mean i drove this car before he cleaned injectors and replace an o2 sensor and it felt dead on its face. but i know he has tuned it up but i mean its nothing fancy hahaha oh wait i got pics of it ill post some up for you enjoyment lol hang on

and no this is no joke this is the svt thats supposed to beat me. it looks like well you can see. this kid is a bit of a redneck haha. but you can see, was previously wrecked. and the riveted fake scoops, wing that was wire rather poor as you can see. enjoy and flame on lol

 

bwahahahhaha i love the wing. Sometimes i wish i had a car like that in my driveway that i could drop something nasty into and **** with people. I learned not to take appearances too seriously a few weeks ago when i was out on the interstate and a shitty ass looking fiero pulled up and kept taunting me so i downshifted into 3rd and took the **** off then all of a sudden i hear "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!" and a ******* loud ass growl and this guy was right back up next to me and pulling...he ended up having a built northstar v8 with, i think it was, an m112 on top....that thing was just NASTY. the way he pulled on me it had to be a mid 10 sec car.

 

Im a ford guy, and I even thought the svt contour was LAME....

 

Damn, that contour looked nothing like that one, the exhaust was a little bigger and looked much cleaner.

 

that's one sweet ride man. you best watch your back. that thing is a predator.

 

now try a svt cobra. i was behind one from a 60 to 120 and it was close
