I was just cruising with my buddy, who owns a SRT4 stage two. This brand new 5.0 with his gf pulls up next to us and begins to rev his engine...I immediately smile and nod. I go to honk it off and as I go, he stays in place. He catches up and they both laugh at me, this happens twice
The third time I yell, "What?? You scared a little cobalt will show you up?" He didn't think it was too funny so he downshifts and honks off at 40. He instantly puts half a car on me but by third gear, I have a sold 1 1/2 almost 2 cars on him till I shut down at about 90.
He wasn't smiling after that. He wanted another go so this time, my buddy with the SRT4 joins in and we all start at 35. Once I start to put almost a car on him he shuts down and I shut down at 80ish.

I apologize for the video quality as it's from a POS phone

330ish hp on stock turbo, I wouldn't. he will bump ur boost to like 27 psi, that's just a rebuilt engine waiting to happen. don't do it. I know term's great tuner and all....I thought he quite....but I wouldn't push that stock turbo like that.
Its always fun to do that to mustang drivers. lol they are like the civic of the faster car world. they are faster than the average car, but everything else is still faster and they think they are the fastest thing on 4 wheels. lol

No it won't require that must boost up at my elevation. I'm on a 23 psi tune but I'm only pushing 20-21lbs on average runs, spiking up to 24, based on my aeroforce
From how Term explained it, because the air is less dense, pushing 26-27 psi would be the equivalent to running 23-24 psi at sea level.

So did you get out and talk to this guy? How do you know his mods? And there is no race in that video. You guys are just driving and then he hits his brakes before you. Unless you were playing chicken with the stop light...

You are right the turbo will be seeing 28-29 psi max but that is deceptive because that is not what the engine sees. At nearly 6000ft where he lives baro pressure is 81 kpa (11.7psi) not 101kpa (14.65 psi). So about 3 psi lower than sea level. This means, as far as the engine is concerned, 28 psig is the same as 25 psig at sea level (the absolute pressures are the same). Yes the turbo is spinning hard but how many K04 s have failed if the cars owner uses the proper oil and changes it at proper intervals? Very few.
