me vs. newer M3

Well, was on the way home from hanging out with a few fellow members and the wife and I decided to drive around a bit and maybe find a race. We drove up and down the streets for a bit, but found nothing so we decided to go home. As luck would have it I pull up to a red light right in front of a nice long strech of empty road.....and what comes along side me??? A newer style M3 with some asian looking kid blasting some fairly gay techno sounding music. Anways, the light turns green and we both roll out slowly.....I hear him punch it, so I quickly follow suit. Through first gear I stay about a fender ahead....both of us shift to second (he was a manual shift as well) and a little squeal comes from my tires. Through second I pull about an additional car up on him.....wind it out through third, then shift into 4th and coast down with about 1 1/2 car lead on him. So he does the same thing any bmw driver would do....drives by and stares at me then takes off ahead. Anyways, it's always fun beaitng those cars.....at least I know I probably ruined his night hahaha. Just though I'd share

I assume I beat the driver more then I beat the car....by my mods I should be running in the low 14's high 13's.....stock m3's should be running mid to high 13's stock...so I guess it could be a drivers race?

dude if you are in high 13's there is something seriously wrong. your mods SHOULD net you low 13's with good driving

well...honestly, the only 1/4 mile track I've been on is Moroso (in florida), and track prep. there is the suck!!! I'll be heading out to Rockingham here soom hopefully...so I can actually get some good times hahaha. At moroso the best 60' time I could get was like a
2.3-2.4.......I went to some hole in the wall 1/8 mile track up here and was crackin off 2.1's without even trying and running a 9.2
