Me vs SI

I was out in Gainesville today, returning a bunch of radio **** bestbuy sold me that doesn't fit the 07 Cobalt. On they way back i was cruising along and a Civic SI BLASTS past me and revs.

Well the mood I was in, a race seemed like a fine idea. I caught up with him, we had some traffic behind us so we did a roll from 60. He jumped out about 3/4's of a car, by the end of 3rd gear I had 4 or 5 cars on him.

We chatted a bit, he was a really cool dude. He said damn man when you starting making some boost you were gone and i new it was over! I'd have to say though those are some pretty decent looking cars! I'm amazed not all honda owners are ******!

good win, I raced one on the freeway and pulled on it hard. I thought their freeway speed would be more impressive than that...still a nice ride though. The look on the dudes face was priceless

i was at the track a few weeks ago, and ended up racing an 07 si, had it by about 3 car lenths by the 1/4. probably woulda had him by more, but the torque-happy lsj is a little harder to launch.

why are they slow as *****... stage 2 ss/sc just beat one by 4 cars....that'd probably put him right next to a stock ss/sc or very close...

Civic si's run 15.1 compared to a cobalt which runs a 14.5.

nice mag times. Lots of si's have run 14.8's and 14.7's which is what alot of ss/sc owners are running. It is really not that big of a difference pal. The ss/sc is faster, but if you are gonna call something slow, at least have somethign that is significantly faster...

Hahahahahahaha..... A cobalt has run a 14.0 on street tires so whats your point. Just because one car can run that time doesnt mean everyone can. My brother has one and I have raced his and I wasnt impressed. I didnt call it slow I just said I wasnt impressed.....

the ire isnt directed at you silver.
your entitled to be "not impressed" with something. thats your right to opinion.

its more directed at someone calling a car thats 1/2 a second slower than us..."slow as *****"

not sure. thats just from the official 1/4 mile thread.
In the end you always have to take times on faith anyway.
most people dont have video evidence of the run....
and often no one can truely prove that the slip corresponds to a stock cobalt etc etc.

I thought on that thread you had to send a slip to get on the list.... But we do have to trust people to tell us the mods.
