I have a 06 ss/sc with vibrant header back, injen intake and B&M short shift

So this kid from my school thinks his dads 06 sti is the **** and talks alot of **** about how slow my car is, so i told him lets race and he wants to, we are going to start at 40 because i told him AWD would rape me. So who is going to win? im faster at shifting then him also, but its dumb because he drives a 99 derango but talks **** and throws his dads car up for races

I'm staged with a 2.9 and I know I couldn't beat one from a dig and I would be very surprised if I hung with one from a roll.
They are rated 13.5 stock and good drivers have done better than that.

 

i think it will be a close race from a roll. from a dig you will get rapped. plus its his dads car he prob doesnt know how to drive it.

sti are deadly from digs from rolls you can take them. just race him and see what happends. like i said its not his car so he can **** up.

 

I had a 01 5spd GT with 75mm TB/ upper plenum, CAI, UDP, Headers,O/R X-pipe, Flowmaster 40's dumped, Tune,Intake Manifold,160 Stat, 4:10's

That car stock wouldn't of had a problem with you and I raced an 06 STI with just a turbo back exhaust and intake and I had my hands full.
I have more stuff done to my car than you and my GT was without a doubt a decent amount faster than my balt...I don't see it happening unless he's really that bad at driving....

IF he can drive you're gonna have your hands full from a roll too. Those cars with good drivers still trap 102-104 which isn't impressive for a mid 13 pass but from what I've seen it takes at least stg2+ to get that out of a cobalt.

This is saying he can drive I've seen many horrible drivers so you could end up raping him. There is a guy in my town with a silver Cobra that should be a mid-low 11sec car and hes ran a best of 12.7. Then on top of that he couldn't hit third gear from a roll if his life depended on it. LOL

At the end of the day win or lose hes back to driving his POS where you're still in your Cobalt. My bet is daddy won't let him take it out.

 

If you have stage 2 intake and exhaust you win, but if you dont i think you lose...wrx,sti's aren't very good from rolls

 

bro, it might not be safe but try to get him top end. they blow chunks at top end. past like 100, they're done

 

If you lose, even by a little, he's going to be a pain in the ass. And if you win, especially by a little, he's going to throw some excuses. Don't bother.

beat a stock one with a 2.8 pulley and a tune 5 times by 3 lenghts.

 

that must have been a slow GT. I will rape an STI, theyre slow as hell stock. I talked to a guy who owned the previous model year STI. He said he got beat by a stage 2 cobalt pretty hard, and according to him all the kid had was a S2 and a CAI, no pulley, no exhaust, etc. That race was from a roll but still.

I would slap on a stage 2 upgrade then race him.

I raced a WRX from a roll, who had a full exhaust and a tune ( Im pretty sure thats what he said ), and beat him by around 6-7 cars from a 20-70 mph race. Those cars are slow from a roll and with top end. You might be able to nail him in the long run.

Its going to be a VERY tight win if at all.

 

tell him to race with his car, and not daddys.
