My 2.2 vs 95 eclipse GST

what do you all think my chances are....he is running stock boost and has intake and exhaust my mods and best time are in my sig...i run very consistant. plz share thoughts

He'll probably take you. They are pretty heavy and slow for a turbo car but when modded they can be beast. Maybe if he's auto or cant' shift to well you could edge him out.

hard to say. 95% of old turbo eclipses have leaking rings, worn out turbos, slipping clutches, half plugged injectors and shot ignitions... you may be able to shock him

They were 14.4-14.8 cars with the average person running 14.5ish.


I think you will lose.

And if you go from a roll, it'll only be worse for you.

in fact, these were motor trends numbers in 1995

1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS-T (Auto) 7.4 15.5 (MT June, 94)
and for a GSX of the same year, a 14.9. neither of those times would scare me too too much.

that site lists the same times that i just posted.

my biggest point is that DSMs don't exactly hold up well as-is, and a 95 is almost 14 years old... it's probably well beyond it's prime.

thats what i was thinking too....i am racing it from a dig a little over a quarter mile...i plan on out launching him lol

its listings on dragtimes.com arent that impressive either...and thats usually with good drivers

haha he has had it like 2 weeks...kid doesnt even have his liscense yet....was bragging over myspace and said he was cool cause it has a turbo...when he starts it it sounds like it is ging to die......he CANNOT drive to save his life...i will be first to admit that if it is driven by somebody who knows how to drive it will beat me..we will see...not to worried about it either way
