My ss/sc vs GSX
My friend is picking up a GSX this weekend with a holset hx40 in it. He wants to line up when he gets it. My mods are a k&n intake, zzp shorty header, zzp catted dp, and magnaflow exhaust. I'm getting tuned with hp here soon. Who would take it? I don't know much more about the gsx he's getting. It could be fully built for all I know

Well I owned a 4g63 as my first car and it ran when it wanted to. It was a gst though with a stock turbo. Some bolt ons and seemed pretty quick. I never been in one with a big turbo so I would say he may be putting down more power than you while being awd and weighing less. Although if you have the "driver mod" it should be close.

if its running right he will take you hard, both from a roll and from a Dig.
but then again it is a DSM, and "running right" isn't in their vocab.
I had a 1993 Eagle Talon and the thing was a HUGE piece of ****. You think the Cobalt is bad? lol you have no idea until you own a DSM

Dsm's running Holsets usually pushing mid 400's to low 500's to the wheels. That HX40 is capable of 600ish. However it will be a bit sluggish spooling.

I figured this would be the outcome. He's never owned a manual car before, but he's drove my ss a few times. He's not bad at it, but I have the driver mod until he learns manual good lol

The only chance you have is being used to driving your car as he will be brand new to his setup. Other than that he'll probably pull a county on you even if you had a TVS. Like ozzy said 400-600whp, solid 11 high 10sec possibilities for him, unless it blows which is very likely with a DSM.
