well anywho i got this guy witha 2001 mustang v6 with headers and a intake. i have the GMPP exhaust on my 5 speed 2.2 what are my odds of winning?? we are putting 150 bucks on the table so im really really really nervous cause i think i can take him but im not sure at the same time. what kinda times do these mustangs run????

well to give you an idea, back when i had my o1 civic 5speed, bone stock, i raced a mustang v6 stick, we were dead even till about 65-70, then he started to walk on me. This was from a dig btw

 

here is another idea, i had a 95 monte carlo LS my friend has a 99 v6 stang

it was almost like he forgot to hit the gas or somthing...v6 mustangs do not move

What kind of model do you have, cause if you have the 2.0 SC you should have no problem, dont miss no grears!!

I don't know man. Do you have any mods? I don't think I would put a 2.2 cobalt stock v.s a v-6 mustang. I know there not real quick or anything but you said he has some bolt ons.

 

why would you bet $150 on a race you are this unsure about?

0-80 mustang takes bus lenths on me 3 times in a row
just my experience

 

LOL you could miss two gears and still beat a V-6 stang with a 2.0 SS/SC

 

I just looked on a mustang fourm and a guy there stock runs 15.6 1/4 mile

 

01 should be a good race, i predict u coming out on top, but make it like best 3 out of 5
that way if u miss a gear u dont lose money later on , gets the nerves right out of u

The best thing you can do though is get your ass outside, lower your tire pressure down to 25lbs or and PRACTICE LAUNCHING.
