wow you guys are harsh. its 500 bucks or so to rent a car. i opened my mouth not thinking he would go for it and he did... if it does happen we take the car for a weekend beat on it a bit and have some fun with the mustang.... you all think im some ricer well you know something ive owned a few mustangs i still own a very, very fast car.

chevysalesman614 you speak of me like you know me and you know what i own and then you go as far to call me ignorant. mustangs suck. ask anyone who owns one. please go ahead and tell me about this almighty 500hp which when compared to any gm gets put up against a 400hp corvette. either way you look at it the car should be put up against a 500hp corvette but yet it isnt. so this obviously great car is either overrated or cant get the power to the ground or handle a corner. or both. no i would not **** my pants in a gt500 unless said person would try and take a corner at speed and the resulting crash would probably loosen my bowels. now being who you are, you then knock a crx. wow good move, many many hondas would pummel you on any given day and most are daily driven low 10 sec cars, and yes they have fartcan mufflers, because hey those flow the best for that application. and then in your infinate wisdom you tell me to crawl back in the cave i came from and dont come back. why is this? are you afraid of me. are you afraid i know more than you and i have faster cars than you and my woman is better looking than yours or are you afraid i just make more money and than you and am a better person. whatever it is please let me know cause we can try and get along, really i want to try. i will and have said i bit off more than i can chew and will own up to it, the worst part of all of this is i will lose a race, pay for a rental, beat on it for a weekend, and then at the end of the day post the videos here and have fun, your mistake was openeing your mouth and looking like a jerk in front of all of your friends, wich cannot be changed because i was a man about it and said what needed to be said and you resorted to name calling.

You're an idiot if you think the Mustang should be put up against an equally powered, more expensive, lighter, 2-seat SPORTS CAR.

That's like saying, "Oh, the Chevy Malibu has ~200hp, so either way you look at it, the Malibu should be put up against the ~200hp SS/SC."

The GT500 is a 4-seat pony car that costs $40k. The Z06 is a 2-seat SUPERCAR that costs ~$70k. Of course people are GOING TO compare them because of the power ratings, but it's an apples-to-oranges comparison.


Nope... not overrated... and it actually handles quite well for a stock car that weighs in @ 4000lb.


Oh yeah, there are THOUSANDS of daily-driver low 10-second CRX's out there. I mean, I see about 50 a day!!!

Please, for every daily driven 10-second Civic out there, there are 10 daily driven 10-second Mustangs. Just the '03-'04 Cobras running turbo's or Kenne Bell blowers is a HUGE number.

Sure, there are a lot of fast CRX's/Civics out there, but please, the ratio of 10-second DD CRX's to the number of 19-second turds w/ melon-shooters setting off car alarms and making people's ears bleed is RIDICULOUSLY small. Again, I can respect a fast Honda, but the overwhelming majority are the aforementioned turds, so a generalization based on the CRX is hardly a stretch.


I don't think he's afraid of you about any of those totally unrelated topics, or why being afraid of you would make him post here... I just think he, like everyone else, finds it interesting that you would BET MONEY that you would beat a mid-12-second car with your mid-14-second car.

well thats what im trying to do. i dont respect mustangs and wont unless you have alot of work in them. and even then they arent much to talk about. nothing here is taken to heart most of the kids here get there panties in a bunch when something happens that doesnt sound right. so im not worried ill rent a mustang race it and have fun with it thats all. but this kid has someone up his ass and feels the need to make fun of someone for thinking outside the box a little bit

FreakTA...seriously...The Shelby GT500 is a nice car and it is pretty quick for a factory ride. Even the new GTs aren't really sloutches and will be a close race for a SS/SC with traction and the right modifications. Up top they are bad, but not that bad. You want people to respect your car while you trash their's. That's pretty immature.

Also, how fast is your fast car? As for the CRX vs GN thing, I do believe that there are many very fast GNs vs the number of very fast CRXs. I've seen some that are high 6 second cars but look almost stock. Putting a GNX into the 10s really isn't all that much of a feat. Heck, last time I saw a GN club at the track the slow car was in the low 12s and the rest were 11.5 to 9.5 cars...at 1500 feet and a DA of about 3500. So depending on what he has done to that GN, you could be in trouble. I don't know, maybe your 95 TA is turboed, blown or the like but GNs are no sloutch if they've been tweeked.

i think to clear up this "i have a fast car" line ppl seem to be throwing around (not just this thread, but all over this site), we all need to come to a general agreement of what a fast car is....

as far as im concerned, any street car, that is sub 15 sec, is "quick/peppy" a sub 14 sec car is on its way to fast, and nething under 13 sec that is a street car i would consider as fast. again these are street cars/contempory sport cars.

if u wanna get into nice, expensive, more exotic sports cars (over 40 grand) i think its pretty safe to say a corvette is fast, and i think ppl who dont think a GT500 is fast are ignorant. it is a fast car, yes it may not be in comparrison to other cars in its class, but honestly it is fast if u compare it to 99% of the other street cars on the roads. thats just my .02 cents.

last, but not least, why are we attacking eachothers families and bringing yearly wages into this????
