well i was on my way home today from work and i saw that 894 was a total mess so i decided to take college av to hwy 100 then to 94.... any who.. " getting off topic.." so i was going down hwy 100 and two guys in eclipses pulled up next to me at the stop light.. i saw the car to my left next had a boost gauge" it was a mid 90's" so i figured i didnt have a chance and the car to the right didnt " 99- 2002 ish".. so we are all sitting ther and the guy on the right revs up, then i rev up, then the guy with the turbo revs up... so the light turns green and im the first off the light and im screaming though 1st gear i screech halfway though 2nd gear in to 3rd and by that time the guy with boost is 1& 1/2 car lenghts ahead of me and the guy on the right is at my door pannel and not moving... any who.. we took it upt to 55- 60 ish and let off .. we did this a one other light and i beat the eclipse on my right by a quarter pannel again.. and lost to the other one by the same length...

needless to say i felt really good knowing that my little 2.2l beat an eclipse.. i was really shocked to tell you the truth.. really shock i though i was going to get owned...

dont flame me if you dont buy it because i wouldnt come on here and make this **** up...

i have a cold air and an exaust sitting in my bed room and i think the guy that wasnt boosted had an exaust or atleast a fart can

What good is a CAI and exhaust in your bedroom? They don't work so well from a distance.
Go slap that stuff on and find that boosted Eclipse again. That should even it out a smidge, and if he still beats you, it won't be by more than half a length.

 

yeah i think it was a awd turbo eclipse that way he got away fromt th line faster then my self and the other oned did... i have no doubt tha if u installed my toys in my room that i would have walked away on the one not boosted eclipse and ben on the tale of the boosted one...

im waiting till later this on in spring to install everything.. because its warmer and also dont want my parents to make an issue of it because i just barrowed some money from them to buy books ... and some other things

 

i found out that they only have 147 hp on the non turbo's ...

 

the only Eclipse of that gen. that you have to worry about are the turbocharged ones

the N/A Eclipses are quite a bit slower than 2.2's

Nice job! Did you see if the car on your right was a GT or a GTS? I'm taking it was a 00-04 bodystyle...but I've seen videos of the SC cobalts struggling to beat that bodystyle. I just looked and the GT runs a 15.4 stock, not sure about the GTS, its probably a low 15. I'm rambling now....good kill!
