Owned A 90's 5.0

Well today is a great day in history for me, the day I got my car out of the shop lol search my threads for something about a sunroof of you're interested.
So I was driving it home and I notice in my mirror a convertible 5.0 Mustang darting through traffic. So I got ahead of the pack of cars and he followed my path. I get in the right lane slowed to about 35mph in a 40moh zone so he can pass if he wants. Well he gets his back axle even with my front axle and hits his brakes. He sits there for about 5 seconds, honks twice, and floors it. During his rawring takeoff I was in a state of confusion because YOU HONK THREE TIMES. But I guess being a Ford owner he can't count past 2, so I cut him so slack, throw it in second and take off after him with a chirp. By the end of 2nd I had caught completely up with him, shifted 3rd perfect and gained 2 car lengths on him by about 80mph. He flashes his lights and I hit my brakes and slowed to about 35mph. Well he did what is known as the 'loser fly by' but his was especially lame. When he passed me probably doing 45mph he had his right hand on the side of his face so I couldn't see his face If only he knew it was a 4 cylinder he probably would have executed himself samurai style.

LMAO, funny you say that...

I had an a-hole in a late 90s V6 Mustang pull up beside me in a construction zone at a light. Pissed me off because the lane he pulled into (he was directly behind me) was closed about 100ft past the intersection, so I KNEW exactly what he was trying to pull. I made it a point to make absolutely certain he didn't get in front of me and at the first light past the construction zone he pulls back along side of me and goes "Wow, that thing got at V8? You really took off from that light back there." I said "No, it's a 4 cylinder." He was like "Oh, well I heard your exhaust back there, you must have some serious mods under that hood." "Nope, it's stock." He looked like I had just run over his dog or something.

Enough with the mid 90's Mustang kills. We are all aware that a stock SS can beat an old Mustang, no need to beat it to death. Why don't you try racing a new one, those results would be more interesting.

It is funny to suprise someone who doesn't know cars well enought to pick their fights carefully. One day I will buy, and heavily modify a Yugo, so that I can see that look over and over again.

The problem is most Mustang aren't GT's! However, owners think becuase its American Muscle that they can beat anyting on the road. When I wasn't into the cars, I was throw back when my friend, who was in the navy, returned from Japan, and told me that there was this car called the Skyline that was beating the **** out of American muscle cars. At that time I thought American muscle was unbeatable, and that anything from Japan was slow. Well I quickly learned I was wrong. As time goes on, people will stop messing with your cars. It will get to the point where if someone you should be able to beat is screwing with you, he's probably heavily modified.

I don't care what you say, noting beats a 1000 HP Yugo. I will own that car some day!

You act like I think its a big deal that I beat a 5.0 lol. Actually I didn't know if I was going to win or not because who knows what aftermarket he had. And I did race a new GT and lost, how is that more interesting? I don't come to this thread blabbing about every race I run like most do, I just felt that the last part was funny and most of you guys would get a kick out of it as I did. Next time I will keep it to myself because it seems like I just reopened old sores....

Easy killer, I was just busting your chops. I think its funny too. I remeber growing up and thinking those cars were unbeatable, and most of their drivers seem to think the same thing. Please don't stop posting on my account, I was just having some fun with you. Keep running those new ones, I would love to see somone post a video of them getting it handed to them.
