With my 2 mods and shitty tires, I ran a 13.4@110 in high altitude. Sea level with good tires I rean a 12.79@114.7 (Bradenton) before I moved to AZ, on just a tune, DP and CAI. Whats your point? For a cheap ass car that's pretty good. (Not to mention 750 in mods on a FWD car)

Hey ***, are you pretty sure or sure?

I didn't say anything bad about the Cobalt but if you wanna get started go ahead and keep making stupid post. Nice car in your signature, just get your facts straight.

DISST? yeah IDK what your talking about haha

but anyway, in my eyes if your not at least in the 12's your not fast. I don't consider my car fast, quick but not fast. Theres a reason it says SLOBALT on the trunk lol

BTW the 2500 HD Turbo Diesel Silverado I use to have ran faster times then you :P with only ONE mod

HP Tune then, by term

I run a heavily logged trifecta tune now at 23-24 PSI, I will see what its at when I get back from the stan. I have full bolt ons now.

The Civic Si is the main reason I don't believe the Cobalt was an actual SS. When I had my Ion RL, even RSX Type-S's with full bolt-ons had a hard time keeping up with me.
Caliber SRT-4 Weights 3125 and ur cobalt's only weight 150-200 less Whoop'd DOO!

And I really don't think the Cobalt was racing. I mean, he hit the breaks right before they took off. I've seen and have been in many races, and have never seen someone hit the breaks before hitting the gas.
Called BREAK BOOSTING try it some time and u might just catch the 3rd honk

My Cobalts? You do know what they say about assumptions right?

The Neon SRT-4 had a better formula for performance based on its power to weight ratio IMO. The Caliber also doesn't have the street presence that the Neon generated for itself. I know that it's a harsh reality for you to accept, but maybe 20-30 years down the road the Caliber will finally have the street cred you're sorely looking for. I can see it happening, "Hey look at that, isn't that a Caliber SRT4?" "Yeah, big deal, so what. Oh wait, didn't it share the same motor with those Neon SRT-4s?" Maybe you'll get the notoriety for getting hand-me-downs from the Neon....

if u'd like to know. its not the same motor

secondly, how can a car 2 yrs old have the same street cred as a car that came out 6+ yrs ago, and there were many more made?

btw, i joined up over here bc of efactors thread wondering why i beat him with his gms1, intake/charge pipe system. i tried to clear the confusion.

ps- exactly what kind of street presence does a cobalt carry?

most people look at my car and dont think twice about it being fast (i like that). just like the c5 vert i saw ricing around the other day, he paid quick attn when i pulled on him fairly quickly

Just based on the search info I found on google, (0-60 mph : 6.4 sec. 0-¼ mile : 14.9 sec @ 101.6 mph) these specs don't seem as impressive to me as the Neon SRT-4 stock specs. I remember when the Cobalt SS first came out, everyone was worried how their Cobalt would fare against the Neon SRT-4. I don't hear much about the Caliber. I'm sure there are plenty of quick ones, but they aren't nearly as big a thorn in the side of the typical Cobalt SS owner as the Neon SRT-4 was, no matter how hard some of you guys trolling try....

im not trolling, ive proved that... so thanks try again. and lmfao, 14.9!? several guys have ran 13.9 stock, i ran 14.3@99 w. a 2.3sixty ft bone stock and it was 90 degrees out. the reason nsrt4s are such a "thorn" is bc u see them everwhere... how often do u run into a csrt4? im not saying the nsrt4s cant be faster, and i dont care if my csrt4 is a thorn in ur ss guys side or not, no one expects it to be quick, unlike a nsrt4... where u never know if its stock with open downpipe or running 10s in the 1/4
