So today after work i had my first "race war" as the guys at work call it and i originally wanted to race 2 guys at work with pretty close numbers to me. one of the guys has a volkswagon vr6 which i dont really know wat the nubers are but i know that they are low 200's and the other was the hyundai genesis 2.0t i was talkin about that i raced on the highway the other day on another thread. needless to say.. one of them had to go to a graduation so he had to leave work early. the other kid just wound up going home after work before any of us knew where he went.. soo... ya. but it wasnt a complete waste.

let me start by saying my mods are only an aem cold air intake and a full exhaust, bad mab header, zzp 3inch catted downpipe brought down to a 2.5 outlet and then a corsa touring catback. o and a twm short throw shifter. thats it so far ha. lots of cosmetics but that doesnt matter.

so.. my first race wound up being againt a 2008 cobalt ss pretty much bone stock. we race maybe a quarter mile. we started from a roll in first gear and then punched it once we reached a mail box. now this was my first race of the day and i dont usually race ha so i didnt know when to shift. my car in first gear usually spins ha so i was expecting it to spin. but it didnt so i floored it and after a second i hit the rev limiter for maybe a second then shifted and took off. anyway.. he never really pulled away after that. it wound up being about a car length when all was said and done. i think if i shifted right i wouldve had him closer.

second race was me and another kid that has a wrx. now i dont know much about what it has. but i can tell it has a turbo back and i assume and intake because this kid uses a boost controller and pushes that to like 17psi. so he has some but i dont think alot. so anyway. we line up and i know wat my car will since the last race so i was ready. we do the roll again in first gear and PUNCH it. i literally shifted perfect through first, second, and third and almost had to get to fourth. but it was an amazing race. i had like half a car length on him the whole entire tire all the way to the end. so maybe i started early, idk but bottom line i won by like half a car and it felt great ha. it was my first race that wasnt against a random stranger thatw as being a dick on the highway ha. it was a great experience. again i have no video but one the kids did take one for each of the races so ill have him send it to me and ill put it on youtube or something soon. thanks for reading guys.
