Raced a GSR

Well the other night me and a couple of buddies were running around and decided to stop in autozone to get a headlight for my buddies car. As soon as i start to park i see a kid walking over towards my car. I get out of my car and he is right next to me askin me if I race. I tell him yeah and ask him what he's got, he takes me over and shows me his pride and joy. Its a 95 civic coupe stock body with a front clip and a muffler so big i could stick my head in it. He popped the hood and showed me his full gsr swap and told me how nasty his car is and how he ran a 98 cobra. He talked his car up for about thirty minutes. I just let him keep talking its funnier to hear him make fun of himself rather than me say something.

So we finally leave and hop on the highway to do the damn thing. We slowed down to 40 and i hear him yell "you honk i don't have a horn" . I drop it down into second and honk three times and it was instant rape. I pulled like 4 or 5 cars on him and let out of it in 4th. I go to get off an exit and here he comes again. His buddy says one more time like it was a fluke or something so we did it again and i beat him just as bad. When we got back to autozone he unloaded the excuses. He told me he had too much weight in the car and he wasnt making power at the rpms we started at (he picked the speed we rolled from) and he didn't believe that all i have is an intake. I just thought it was funny after all the **** he talked about his car he got his ass shut down by a cobalt.

those kids also don't realize a gsr swap in a civic if prop done if he has the gsr tranny also. i bet if you looked under his car where the tranny would be... it would be so close to the ground that if he bottomed out too hard the tranny would be destroyed. alot of people with civics and gsr swaps dont know how far the tranny sticks out the bottom. and when he was talking you should of been like... a 98 cobra? how did you do against a 03 cobra. 03 cobra's SOOOOOO beautiful

humm, wonder if it was indeed a gsr swap and if it had anything done to it beyond the swap.

good kill eather way.

i have a friend that had 95 Integra GSR, he had home depot intake /H/E and hondata .
before i had stage 2 he would pull me till about 90 or so, from a dig he would get a few carlenghts on me and i wouldn't catch up till top of 3rd.
you would think the same engine in a lighter car would be much faster, probly didnt have the gsr tranny ans was running the wrong gearing.
