lol 12.1 LOL. you are not going to trap 8mph faster just because of slicks in any 12 second car. the only way that is gonna happen is if your car is spinning hardcore to the 1/8th marker.

First the $71k price tag is a NO option E, I mean nothing comes in that car. They make another car just like the Saleen Extreme, its called a GT500 and the way prices for them sit right now even if you pay over sticker youll stll have about $15k-$20k to play around with and you have a WAY better motor. If you send that car to Evolution Performance and tell them to do what they can with that money you saved, you'll drive that car out of there and it'll be a low 10 - high 9 sec car.

And i didnt break the cv joint. i twisted the shaft in half. that sucked.

MODS: 2.7 pully with stage 2 flash, k&n cai, heat exchanger, 4-2-1 header w/ high flow cat, 3in cat back exhust, torque dampner, traction bars, stage 3 clutch w/ light weight flywheel, hurst short shifter, runnin at 19.5lbs boost!!!
This guy is a ******* joke you dont pick up a whole second with slicks unless your a 1000hp car trying to launch at 6-7krpms with street tires. Also you trap speed goes down with slicks, not up. I go to the track all the time and have had three different sets of tires on my car each one stickier than the last and my trap speed never went up, it always went down untill I would mod the car more. If I would spin my car would trap 2-3mph faster than when I would hook. Now your ET will go down but your traps don't go up.

99 GT probably

07 Saleen not unless your motor is built to the GM build book and running Nitrous with 100octane and then you might be able to keep up with him.

Sorry man he was messing with you.

Me neither, but I don't frequent the "racing" forum there.

When I see "car links", I assume that the person heard someone say "car lengths"... the term that actually makes sense... and thought they said "links" instead of "lengths".

Man, the audible difference between a 4.6 and a 3.8 is pretty noticeable.

And yeah, this outcome is totally believable, as well.

A V6 w/ headers and exhaust isn't going to be very quiet... and it isn't going to sound like a GT, either... especially in higher rpms.

Take punypony's car for instance... Headers and exhaust...

http://youtube.com/watch?v=9RATnnJ5R3A

Definitely not quiet, and clearly not a GT at higher RPM's.

But anyway, not important really.
