I used to have an 01 GT with the same mods as my 05 GT, and the 01 never had a chance, EVER!!! Stock for stock with equal drivers, the 05+ GT's are a 1/2 second faster in the 1/4 mile, 13.5-13.6 compared to 14.1-14.2. And the fastest stock 99-04 GT has gone 13.7 and the fastest 05+ has gone 13.2, and has gone 12.8-12.9 with just an intake, tune and some DR's. Mach 1's on average are a tad bit faster than an 05+ GT. Race one from a dig instead of roll racing.

Nice Job I do not fear Mustangs at all. Sure there are some fast ones, but I rarely see them on the street. Heres a video of a 427r Roush vs. a St2 Cobalt I shot for my friend Brian at the track. Wasnt even a race. Sure Mustang guys are going to say its a shitty driver but his MPH sucked as well. If they are so bad ass why didnt he catch Brian in the back 1/2 ??

I have raced on from a dig. he got me by about 1 car to about 80ish. of course i had traction issues of course u would say raced from a dig. that's where a mustang shines and a cobalt doesn't. a low roll is much more suited for us so there's no arguing about traction. as for the newer and older GTs, anything can happen. This what i had on my gt- Plenum, flows, prochamber, timing adjuster, and k&n filter. my best times where 13.6 street tires, and 12.95 and dr's. no tune on the car. when i raced newer sn97's they mostly had mid pipes and cat backs, and full cai i would leave the about 1 to 1 1/2 cars. the ones with gears would take me just the same. Its all different on the streets then in magazines.
I'm pretty sure with the right driver in a 427R it would put a serious hurtin on a GT, hell I would say it's safe to say it would beat an 03/04 Cobra.

Uhh the guy obviously couldn't drive. The car only ran 14.2, a bone stock 05 runs mid 13s.
They actually make 435hp/400tq but still a rip for the price.
Unless you had some serious weight reduction and slicks there is no way in hell youre going to run 12.9 with those mods. The 13.6 is believable but the 12.9 is just not going to happen.

Mustangs suck plain and simple..unless its a Terminator or something. I as well raced a GT last night, either an 01 or 02 with exhaust, the video got messed up during filming somehow, but I won from a 40 by about a car to a car 1/2 and lost from a 30 by about a car cuz i decided to granny shift 3rd for some reason.

well i did hit a 13.69 at 103 i think it was. It was a cold night. i ran about 10 times that night running constant 13.7-8s. its koo if you dont believe it. u weren't there. that was launching at about 1500-2000 rpm. had some tire spin most but not much. on the drags i would launch at about 4-4500 rpm and power shifted.

You can never win on here if you're trying to back the Mustang. And I'll even agree if it's the truth, but most the **** said about Mustangs on here isnt true.

Yeah, maybe it can happen, but usually the best a 99-04 GT will run with full bolt ons, gears and DR's is in the 13.2-13.3 range. It usually takes atleast some cams and a nice tune to get into the 12's N/A.
