raced my first srt 4(blew up)

I raced my first srt 4 today. He has a stage 2 ECU and took of the exhaust from the cats back. We did a race from a dig and he got me by half a car. We did a roll from 40 and i had a nose on him and all of a sudden i hear a loud pop followed by backfire and metal grinding so i quickly let off, realizing that he blew something. He popped the hood and the head actually lifted and warped off of the block. Will know more tomorrow! Feel sorry for the guy. He just bought it used like 3 weeks ago...

how many miles were on it , anyone who buys an SRT-4 with over id say 24,000 miles is asking for MAJOR problems

Nice, where was it? That is the ultimate kill too, if you win and the other car blows. I did that to a TT Supra about 2 months ago.

Was it dry out there? I wanted to do some racing tonight, but it rained so bad all day I thought it woulda been a waste to go out there.

Oh yeah, I always go down there on the weekends, but I would go during the week if I had someone to roll with and knew that it was worth the drive.

Even though this is true, the SRT4 still has a 10x better and stronger motor & tranny than a Cobalt.

I agree on the tranny, but you know the ecotec is a damn stout motor

Im not saying its a POS, Im simply saying the SRT4 motor/tranny is 10x better.

Can a ECOTEC motor make 609whp on a stock motor/internals/bottom end like a SRT-4? No.

Enough said...

No im not hurt lol. I know beat up cars in general are gonna be a pos.

Im not shooting from the hip, Im stating facts, not opinons. Im just saying the SRT4 motor/tranny is better lol.

Im not saying the ECOTEC is a pos or anything.
