Raced My First SRT4

Had a qwick pull against my firs srt4 today on the way home from work. Just a qwick pull in third down low to the end of third. He started with his front bumper at my back bumper. At the end of it, I was still ahead. He gained abit. His front bumper was at my door. Not too bad in my opinion. My only real power mods are GM stage 2 and an injen cold air. He asked what I had done to my car afterwards. I told him and he told me he was impressed with my car. But I didn't really get into what he had done to his car. I know he had a blow off valve. ( loud on too....) Other then that i'm not sur what else he had. He said he was about 260hp and 300lbs of torque. Just wondering if my reults with hangin with an srt4 are about right? Should I have pulled some or should he have pulled more. I waskinda thinking I was gonna loose at first. But I was impressed with my car.

Sounds like a fun run good work... SRT-4s get real power when they are turbo swapped with supporting mods.

Im not sure if he was staged at all. Although he had a crazy loud blow off valve. So maybe he was. He said he was 260hp and 300 torque. What ever stage that would make him. Maybe you know him or it's the same guy. He was headed down the valley way on the 101. It was all white. Clean lookin , with no spoiler. There don't seem to be many SRT4's around in our area. Was the one you went up against white ?

In the next week or two I will have a set of 60's installed ( which I got last week ) and my 2.8" pulley and tuned. I'd love to run it then and see how I fair. But I only talked to him for a few seconds. And I've never seen him around before.

Well I deffinetly didn't destroy him. In fact ,like I said he seemed to be gaining on me. But very slowly. I pretty much held him off. So I was happy with the result and he was impressed. So that was good enough for me.

Sounds like it may have been stock with a BOV. Or just a bad driver/wrong gear.

it does sound like stage 2 they make about that much power. the stage 2 that i raced when i was stock was a silver one coming back from musquodoboit harbour. like i said he pulled on me but barely. he said the TC balt was the only econo box that gives him a run for his money everytime. i know a guy with a copper one thats well known around here... he said he's making 260hp and 280tq on the dyno with his mods... i think it was something like stage 1, catless exhaust, msd, intercooler, cai, tune i think. i wanna race him but it never happens. someone in town told all the kids i was a cop lol

Meh, exhaust, intake and a custom diablo sport tune will give you better gains than the Mopar Stage 2. That's been discontinued for a while. Saying it's Stage 2 is a stab in the dark. Either way it's a slow

It could have been stock. We didn't really go into detail about either car. We only chatted for a few seconds. I'm guessing it was stockish. Either way. I'm really happy with how well I held up.
