Raced a water/meth Duramax

My SS/TC is completely stock.

Buddy of mine owns an audio, tint, and truck shop. He just got a brand new duramax dually and decked it out.. I don't know the specifics of what he has but - Exhaust, Intake, water/meth kit, and a chip. I don't remember what chip he had, I knew he sells a lot of bully and edge stuff, so it could be one of those. He said he was boosting about 36psi. He claims 900ft/lbs torque.

He asked me if i wanted to run them because he wanted to see what the truck would do. I don't like street racing but we were out in the middle of NOWHERE on an obscure road with no cars for miles. We did 3 rolls from about 20-100, because we didn't feel too safe on the road we were on. It was pretty even, I could pull on him a bit as we got faster, but not a lot. I think if we went over 100 I would easily begin to pull away. We didn't really ever get lined up good because the road was shitty and small... The third pull I left him pretty good, but he said his exhaust temp was 1700 and killing boost.

Not to bad but I was teasing him because he spent over 60k and can hardly beat a stock cobalt =P I told him to race me next month when I get GM Stage 1 and my downpipe.

While we were driving, I was behind him and he floored it and kicked up a bunch of gravel from the asphalt and pelted my car. Got a few little chips.. grrr

Gotta love big powerful diesel trucks. He weighs probably twice as much and keeps up with you. If he mods it more, you will never keep up. I've watched those guys at the strip put down some really fast times.

That is probably his GVW not the actual weight. You said he was a dually so he probably weighs close to 7900lbs with a GVW of 11000lbs....... I'm not 100% sure but the numbers should be pretty close. I would sport one all day......

Oh probably, I don't know. I told him my curb was around 2900 and he said his weighed 9200... You are probably right, just don't feel like using google.
