Rally Racing

So i just got back this weekend from a rally cross in oregon, Ive been planning on using my cobalt for rallying but its been interesting with having to plan out all of the expenses, race entry fees, travel times and fees ect. and the certain modifications i need. but heres the bad news, the race was a closed course (my next stage rally is in august). I DNF because on my last run i broke the left front spindle knuckle. However the good news is, the fastest overal times there, which were made by a completely set up subaru sponsored sti was 1:37's to 1:39 seconds. My 3 times we're 1:44, 1:46, 1:43 and i am completely stock. Each car did 5 runs on the course but i broke on run 4. Everyone there was shocked at how well the cobalt did (before the break) and cant wait to see it at the next event once i have my suspension, skidplates, and all my other goodies.

One guy there pulled off a 1.35 i believe but all of his other times were in the 1 minute 50 second range, so either it was a fluke or the timer might have f'd up.

Anyways I thought id let everyone know how the cobalt does offroading, however i dont recomend doing it on some random back road haha.
I have videos of the races and as soon as i can figure out how the hell to post them i will

Post up the vid, I'd love to see it just to see a Cobalt doing something different. Grats on the times, better luck on your next race.
