Given your mods, I'd say its one of two things.

A) The SRT wasnt racing.

B) It was an upbagded or an SRT DEsign 300C.

About V6s with duals. They can sound pretty damn good. We actually had one take the best sounding exhaust award at a 40 car meet, and he was up against 2 5.7s and 2 SRT-8s in the semifinals.

 

Find me one person that has put an LT badge on an SS. Or just find me one person that would replace their badges on their car with those of a cheaper model.

It was an SXT with an exhaust, which you beat, so all is well in the world.

Spec, it was probably an SXT. I don't think fourth gear, even with your mods, is enough to take an R/T from highway speed (assuming he's in the right gear). The R/T's have got some decent power, around 340 crank, but the SXT's are around 250 crank with about half a ton extra weight on you. I'm not sure, but I think they have R/T and SRT appearance packages for the chargers.

Sounds like you railed him the last time too, I wouldn't expect you to put busses on a car that runs high 13's. Win, yes... but not as much as you did.

Rt's are high 13s with good drivers. they are a good race from a roll for stock ss's dig is usually the R/T's advantage.

 

Yeppers. With your mods on a roll I'd expect you to pull, but not to hand him his ass like you did, and I wouldn't expect you to win at all from that far down in fourth if it was really an R/T. Go find him again if you can, I'd be interested to see if it was really an R/T (and if it is, then your car's a bit faster than I thought )
