ok so tonight i have my 1st real race with my cobalt, going up against a RSX-S, i dont know to much about them so i was wondering if any of you guys have had any experience racing them and what to look out for.

 

Stock versus stock and if you can drive, you should have very little problem taking out the RSX-S. I haven't!

 

yea race him from a dig, and just get a good launch, if you go from a roll go from 40. let us know what happens

 

From a roll the result will be the same. You should put about 2 lengths on him, depending how far you take it. Up to 90 mph I generally have about 3 lengths on those! They have some ***** for being N/A!

 

the cobalt would have more ***** to if it had a six speed and a 150,000,000,000 redline!

 

Yes but we don't and we will never match the Vtec redline unless you do head work among many other things. We should stick to what we do best which is make boost!

you should win from what i understand the rsx-s runs around the low to mid 15s range and ss/sc run around the low to mid 14s range

 

Yea, I find Pinks to be almost unwatchable.

I TOTALLY agree. its like if your car cant race what you're up against, DONT RACE EM!

screw this bs with lengths and "NO NOS! NO NOS!!! UNFAIR HE TOOK OFF HIS BUMPBERR!!! WAAH WAAAH" freaking cry babies. it ALWAYS ends up somebody has a temper tantrum at the end on the 3rd race and says "FINE I DONT CARE!!!!!" and just looses the race because he wasnt patient enough to organize a fair match.

Honestly head to head, 3 runs, THAT IS IT. if the b16 civic cant keep up with the supercharged 5.0L mustang, well thats his own problem to saying yes to the race

 

Is this guy hiding something from you? If he is making the race and knows what he has coming to him then you'd think he may not want to do it. Maybe he's got something under the hood you don't know about?

he has all the basic bolt on's...intake, headers, exhaust ect..... says he has beat an SS before.... = / ...... im guessing it was SC. This guy is just a honda dick rider in a nut shell...very very cocky cause he can beat DSM's so now he thinks he canbeat all SC/Turbos

 

DSMS are turbod. the 95-99 talon/eclipses ran 215 hp awd.

Chances are if he can beat them he has a bit more than bolt ons or the driver of the DSM sucks *****

 

he raced a 92 GSX and beat him by about 1 car.....90-94 turbo dsm run 15.4 - 15.2depending on driver....i have a 96 GSX and the best time i have ever gotten with it is 14.98, and that is with a few minor mods. So im feeling so/so about the race tonight....i realy realy realy dont want to lose to this guy.

If he has bolt ons you better go heads up. He is good for mid-high 14s with bolt ons if he can drive. Don't get too cocky because you are in a mid 14 second car and the margin for error isn't big.

 

This will be a drivers race the RSX is lighter and at hight RPm is hard to beat
