Unhappy S2000 beat me?!?!

Last night I raced my firend who has an '06 S2K with intake and exhaust THATS IT! We raced from a 60 mph roll up to 130. From what everyone was saying we should be able to beat the S2K easy. When we started he pulled a little bit and shifted then we were about even and at about 5000 rpm in 3rd I started pulling a little bit, but by the time I looked down I had to shift, and the shift let him pull a little more, at this time he was about 1 and 1/4 lengths ahead of me, I was in forth now and just was floored, I started pulling slowly and when he shut down I was about 1 length behind.
So my question is.... WHY DID HE BEAT ME!?!?!?!?

If the S2000 Was running "Supporting Mods" that equaled "Stage 2" he will own you even if you have Stage II

Basically. I hate this comparing Stock vs. Modified BS.

All I'm trying to point out is that if you bolt on Stage II and run again and beat him.. Big Deal...

The S-2000 with simiar money invested as a SS/SC"Statge II" will still come out on top again IMO...

Yeah but he's wasting his money on a carbon fiber hood, wheels, new trunk spoiler and stuff like that. Hes got an out-of-order srt that would chew my car up and spit it out! He said he wants to make the s2k more for show and auto cross.

Nice death. I saw a turbo S2000 last night at the track that would have blown my doors off if given the chance to race me.

All i want to know, is brian, why are you still on this site if all you do is put out your negative comments out at the cobalt, not trying to bash.

I don't think he is bashing, just being realistic. Hey, there are a lot of cars out there I know that I could beat but probably won't. I just admit it.

Yep, I knew it was gonna be a close race, plus I also know those things weight like 2500 lbs!!! On top of that, the 06 has like a 4.57:1 final drive ratio, and the gears are super close, I rode in it and shifting at 8500 rpm only brings you back to like 7500 rpm. Your always shifting and always where the power is. I still like my car, raced from 60 to 130 and only had to shift once

HA HA HA, lets see, he's rear wheel drive, has new wheels and tires, and a super close ratio tranny. I have front wheel drive with no traction and first to second gear is like shifting from 1st to 3rd in his car.

You should have raced him from 40-130. 40 is a real sweet spot on these cars.

Nate's car is bad ass! I don't normally admit to liking Honda's but that thing is sweet. Plus it's the 06 so he has the 2.4L that actually has a little torque.

I got one pretty good with the same mods as the one you raced... the only dif. I see in power mods between our car is I'm pullied which woke the car up more than any other mod I've got

I started at 40 mph in 2nd
