ook lol... well damn i tryed to get the point acrost( i turn 21 in december so i know lol) just figured there might be older people than me on here( which there are) ... not defending him but just saying tell me u never raced some 1 b4 and was like "that felt good" or "damn i got walked HARD"

everyone on here is bitching saying " stupid kids like u you" blah blah blah... well first off i want everyone who is talking **** to say they have NEVER EVER raced anyone besides on the track... i dont think half of the people talking **** have NEVER raced on the road b4. everynow and then when some stupid ricer fly's by you you know u want to just punch it and blow his doors off just to show his little ass whats up.( maby thats just me) but maby not everyone on here is young but i almost guarentee everyone on here has done something iligal before( riding in the back of a truck... deadly and i know alot of people on here do it... thats just not as publisised as street racing.)

yes i have raced on the street. but i have never passed on a shoulder at 120, or passed on a 2 lane road . and I've never swerved in and out or traffic. i think most of the people arnt bitching because of street racing , they are bitching because of the recklessness of it all.
i mean the kid is 16...how much driving skill do you think he has, he can barely drive stick and hes weaving in and out of traffic at 100+ mph. every time I've raced on the street there was no one in sight , or at lest a pretty good distance between us. and never to thoes speeds. its people like him and most likely people like you that has made things so bad, hes the reason why cops come down so hard on street racers today. Stupid unskilled kids doing stupid things and killing Innocent people. This isnt Need for speed or mid night club dub addition.

man and the bitching still go's on... yes racing in trafic is definatly dumb but they are comming down on him for racing on the street period... "take it to the track bud", "dont race on the streets dumb ass" comments like that... everyone does it but yes in his case it was dumb but then again when is it not dumb to street race?? ive done it so i cant say i never have but w/e done with this lol im just gona keep getin flamed.

****, i got a p.o.s. when i was 16. took a **** on me, and then my parents bought me an ls, which i later found out wasnt actually bought for me....it is bought by me (i pay for it lol)

ok im the OP every body is hating on me i bet no of u guys built ur cobalt or have road a dirt bike since the age of 5!!! i have seen kids my age wreck b/c they suck at driving... i do autox and have drove on tracks!!! i love racing!! but that was a while back and yeah when i got home i felt like damn what if i hit a dear or had a blow out.. or this or that.. but the rush of kicking some punks ass kinda blurs my vision... sure i have some close calls and **** but im in a ss s/c and who agrees these cars r so easy 2 drive!!!

simple solution...take it to the drag strip....I had a a bunch of kids (late teens) in a honda civic wanting to race on the streets. I said "**** that, im going to the track tomorrow night, how about you come too and we will race for some $$$" he said "**** you *****" but whos the real *****? the guy who denied racing on the streets in traffic for the following reasons (could hurt/kill yourself, could hurt/kill someone else or could get caught by the cops) OR the guy that denied racing at the track for money?

Well, I agree with what Scott said. I do race on the streets very occasionally but not in traffic. You might have all this autox experience, etc. Hell if you are the greatest driver in the world... fine. That's fantastic. But there's nothing in the world and no amount of driving expertise that will prepare you for what other people are going to do. THAT... is why it's not cool and very dangerous.

I've had people cut from the outside left turning lane to the inside left turning lane in the middle of the turn. Thankfully I was paying attention. The big Brembo brakes got me hauled down in time. Had I been racing though, I can promise it would be game over.

TRUE STORY
Street racing has been given a bad rep because of things like this. This his why the laws are so harsh because kids can't have RESPONSIBLE fun on the street. Know you're limits before you push them.

2.Racing ANYWHERE is not safe. There are just some forms that pose much less risk to yourself and innocent people

ok im the OP... i c where u guys r coming from... but 2 try 2 defend myself here i passed two cars.. but it wasn't like grid lock trafic and the median was so big u could park a semi truck on it.. i wouldnt do anything i didnt think i could do i had my best friend in the car and YES i was not thinking very clearly.. normally we race in better spots with NO TRAFFIC at ALL...
