Sleeper Z31 vs SRT8 Charger

So I'm on my way home from work. A Charger blasts past me like it's nobodies business in town. I'm not about to mess around because we are very close to the PD. Not wise at all. Well as luck would have it he gets stuck behind slow traffic just outside of town.

I come up behind him. The slow traffic miraculously all turns off at the same turn. This is good because I feel he might just be willing to play. The Charger slowly speeds up to 80mph and I keep pace. I get the feeling he is feeling me out. We come through an area that the limit drops to 50, he drops to 60mph and I continue to keep pace. Shortly after this area there is a turn and a very very long straight, maybe 4 miles long. As we come through the turn I'm thinking he is going to hit it.

We hit the straight. He does what I'm expecting and puts it down. I come out of 5th and into 3rd. He has already pulled several cars at this point. The 6262 spools up and warp speed comes on. I'm up on his rear bumper so I swing into the other lane. I'm right about at his door when I grab 4th gear at around 115mph. I come on past him, he stays in it even though he is obviously out gunned. I flat shift into 5th at 145mph on purpose to throw a fire ball even though I have a good couple buses on him at this point. He gives up at around 150mph as I'm still pulling hard. I just go ahead and run it up to 168mph (a new high for me).

I imagine he was pretty upset because V8 guys typically get all kinds of butthurt when they lose. Though the last laugh was on me. I burnt my drivers side exhaust manifold gasket during that pull. I had my doubts of these gaskets surviving any hard pulls and it seems I was right. Nasty exhaust leak on cylinder 4. I have some expensive ass MLS exhaust gaskets coming so I can get it on the dyno on the 22 or 23 of this month. 430whp @ 15psi or bust!

I have one I just hardly ever have it with me, especially coming home from work. The days I do drive around with the camera I can't get a race
