So i raced a Scion TC

ok first i donno if this is in the right section, feel free to move if u must...

Ok so i was on the Taconic state parkway, and i was crusing at like 65 mph, and a purple tc came on the highway, so i sped up to catch up to him because i have always weanted to race one, and when i pulled up next to him i downshifted into 3rd just to give him a little bait.. he didnt take it right there, but he did maybe a 1\4 mile later, he flew past me.. so i caught up to him and on a nice straigh part where there wasnt any traffic i pulled up next to him... we looked at eachother and i down shifted into 3rd at like 60 mph.. we were dead even all the way through 3rd and when i shifted into 4th i pulled like 1\2 a car on him.. and than i hit limited and he passed me.. i was so dissapointed, i would have beat him.. stupid LS limiter :-( but it was fun...!

ah nice race... try from a dig next time (i know you couldnt this time because you were on a highway, but the scions weight will slow them down)..

this should be in "war stories" though - no worries

Good job, I have been wanting to race a Scion Tc also but havent got the chance. I have a magnaflow catback, and getting a DC strut bar in a couple weeks, and for christmas my girlfriend is getting me an injen CAI. do you think an auto 2.2 will beat a Scion Tc with the mods that im going to get? or how about with just a magnaflow catback?

Oh Yeah >> near the Pk exit its pretty strait for a few miles.... The 2.2 Sport packages dont have speed limiters. I maxed out at 135-140 on the NYS Throughway. I want to get a ECU tune and add 30HP. 150-160 to the wheels

I had 20% tint and was pulled over like 5 times and had to go to the town of lagrange court. Its not worth having it i guess

you mean a ss/sc? The ss n/a Could to but the ss.n/a and the scion both have 2.4 and remember silver balt 2.2 has mods .... Overall I think a 2.4 ss could spank a scion with more torque and a SS/SC would rape the TRD Scion...\second thought the 2.4 can probalby rape the TRD Scion also

Not all 2.2 Sport Packages are the same. I have an '05 with a sport package that oddly enough has the 15: rims so it's is limited at 105 or 107 mph. The one's with 16's are supposed to be limited at 130 mph b/c of the H-rated tires.

shut up and dont talk **** to me on my thread...

yeah i dhave the stupid 15 inch wheels on my car, and since its those stupid h rated or what ever, its limited at 108, eventually i think when i get a decenmt amount of power and some bigger wheels, better suspension, and bigger brakes i might get the limiter taken off.. but than again, 108 is pretty damn fast anyway, i have only gone that fast about 3 times, and the 3rd was the other night..

Never have street raced, never been in a race period. I've been 'challanged' to a race before by some guy in a car I have no idea what it even was. I just kept driving normaly and turned right a few blocks before I really needed to. I bought my SS/SC to be a normal car that simply replaced my 04 Cavalier that I was bored with.

There have been alot of teens who have been killed in street races since January in my state, let alone the U.S. Don't let it happen to you.

Tell me that when you or someone else ends up in the hospital. TAKE IT TO THE TRACK IDIOT. I don't care how "safe" you think you are. Public streets are not there for you to do whatever you think.
