Stock vs my SS/SC with ingalls dampener, and airbox mod who's gunna win. Roll and from a dig. Might race for money, I dont know though there hitting low 15's stock.

i've raced my friend, he has intake & i killed him, i mean like lost count of car lengths!!! from a roll, and dig, it dont matter....spec v's are gay!

 

i raced one in 4th gear at 70 and he was in his top gear.(i should be in third) the kid had I/E maybe more. anyways i walked him pretty easy and by 100 i had a good 2-3 cars on him just from being in 4th! i only had I/E at the time. also i have driven my frineds and they arent that fast. but from a dig they have something we dont have...TRACTION!! lol good luck and if you can drive i would make some money

 

the Spec V would be faster with a five speed. it's got decent torque, the gearing is too close to use it. they hook pretty well for a front drive thanks to the LSD, but from a roll, an SC will rape one. a 2.4 is a pretty close race, drivers race.

 

I'm sorry, my ricer knowledge has failed me. A Spec V is what? I've seen some sweet stickers on a number of wanna be ricers, but is there a real car??

 

Yes, it's a real car. I traded one in on my Cobalt. It's also a good car. It's a 4 door 2.5 liter 175hp 185ft/lb CVVT with a 6 speed gear box that weighs in at around 2700 lbs. While it is no match for a SS S/C in factory form, it's a good car with plenty of pep.

So I ran a shitty 9.7 today at the track, with a 2.4 60 foot. Took a Mustang Gt 4.6(01-04) from a dig. Didnt start passing till mid part of third, it was a girl driver too. This girl can drive, good like I thought there was going to be some scratching.

Whats a stock cobalt run in the 1/8 normally. I hear people are hitting 9.1 with just a intake. Kinda frustrating....

 

You should win. ONe of the guys around here with a 2.4l ss raced one and won. The 2.4ss was stock.
