SRT8 vs Z28
What does your 300zx actually run ? I don't care if it made 500 on a dynacom, that means nothing and is just a tool for tuning.
I have all the parts bought, just going to install it all at once. I could put each part on as I went but that would be a waste of time.
Making fun of me for owning a Camaro, this is a cobalt forum.... I would say a Camaro has a little more respect in the car community.

.....and this is a Chevrolet based forum. Thank you.
Ready to drag some 300zx ass, work in progress!

Stock heads and stock cam will be for sale here shortly.
Shooting for 10's!
Friend did 10.4 @ 132 mph in his stripped out cam only trans am, he's tuning it....

I would have just kept my ported ls6.... but it was a deal couldn't pass up!
A 102 would have been a waste of money, had my fast ported too professionally.
maybe .2 tenths faster at sea level and 1-2 mph higher trap at sea level

Miller my uncle might head out for the whole texas thing. His car is still slow compared to whats there. Cammed ls7 with heads, 2'' inlet 3'' outlet headers, catback exhaust and some other bolt ons making 550whp on a mustang dyno. If he goes though, he will be throwing on a 150 shot.
Typically in the summer you will see high DA numbers and in the winter you will see low DA numbers. The lower the better. Often times at a good track you can get negative DA so that is basically like being below sea level.
Then you also have to take into consideration NA vs Boost. Boosted cars are not affected by DA nearly as much as NA cars. A crap DA can bring an NA car to crawl, a boosted car doesn't have much ***** to give over it. Honda learned that back in the early days of the NSX during GT races on MT. Fuji, the boosted cars were raping the NSX at high altitudes.

Ahh OK. I see so many guys buy fasts for full price when the gain isn't much compared to a 200-250 ls6 Mani. Not worth the extra few HP st all.
Air density decreases as you go higher up in elevation, usually means slower times. However I've been to plenty of low altitude tracks that have crap Density Altitude (DA) Its possible for a track at sea level to have an equivalent altitude of 2000+ft (DA)

A LOT of the cars that go there are average joe car enthusiasts that have ~400 hp with bolt ons... Of course they don't make it on 1320, but you get me. I'm not going out to go try and race gtr's and get my ass kicked, going for fun to meet new people and see new rides, maybe race a few people for fun runs.

This section has been dead since I haven't posted in it, just a bunch of cobalts racing focuses.

Would someone please tell this to the guy that mentions altitude in every single post he does? It's a 4 door white sedan
