ss s/c vs 05 acura TL M6 vs 98' saleen mustang

Well to start off i've raced the auto tl's not to impressed but the manuals thats the one to get..
Well me and my buddys wanted to run our cars, so we get off work head to the highway and come to the first light we see i'm in back of the TL and the saleen is in the left well before we get to come to a complete stop the light turns green and we are off. The mustang intantly pulls ahead and the tl starts run well i stay back alittle and then punch it and start catching up slowly to the mustang well the tl caught the saleen at around 110 well then its my turn to run the tl from a 60 well i get the jump and get a half car length and he gains on me then keeps pulling away and i just shut her down at like 100 he had two lengths on me by then. well I was very suprised because the autos are not that quick its the other way around when racing a auto anyways the mustang has a compression leak at about 5000rpm and loose power thats why we caught him, well thought i'd let you know stock to stock an Acura TL manual will pull on us..

Well I guess that means I better stop talking **** to a friend of mine who has a 6 speed TL (who is in the process of adding a M62 blower, might I add)!

M62? Isn't that a little small for a car that is already making 270hp N/A. I'd think he'd want at least an M90, if not an M112.

Yeah the M6 TL's are quite a bit faster than the Auto's.

I thought I'd regret buying the Auto TL/Navi/Aspec but I have my c5 for when I want to run through gears.

M62's are good for 2.0L-4.0L engines, according Eaton website.

Yeah, it would probably work, but given the rather high-performance nature of the TL's 3.2L, I'd at least consider an M90, which is good for 3.0L to 5.0L engines. That would give a lot more room for growth.

BTW, obviously performance-oriented engines often use Eaton S/C's that are, according to the website, "too big," because the Cobalt is a 2.0L using an M62, which is "designed for 2.5L to 3.0L engines."
