SS S/C Vs. Srt-4

Well i was out at the local race and hangout area when i took my friend Jesse around the block to show him my new SS S/C Cobalt, he has a SS its just none S/C one. So when i got back one of my other friends with a Srt-4 with a BOV and a CAI wants to run me. So im let yea what the hell why not. We decide to run from a 40mph roll. I didnt know what to expect, we did the usual 3-honk start. I nailed the gas in 2nd and took him by about a car length and ahalf, it was like that until about 130 when he finally passed me. We ran the same thing 3 more times. The second time i missed 3rd so it was dead even until about 120-130 like before when he pulled on me. Then the third race it was the same story except this time he missed 4th and gave up on trying to gain on me. It was a good and fun night, i just thought i would share my glory with the rest of the croud.

Well, seens that you lost this race. Why is the SRT-4 under your "W" colum and your claiming no losses?

How does it seem that i have lost this race? The guy had told me that i had beaten him, even if he had finally passed me at 120 or 30. But i can see how my post would have confused somebody in saying that he finally passed me

srt's are anything but slow, lol. stock for stock, i test drove both the ss/sc and srt4, i really cant see how its possible for the ss/sc to be a faster car. i found there to be quite a noticeable difference in the performance between the 2 cars. im not bashing the ss/sc, it is by all means a good car, i just find the srt to be faster. good win tho man.

same here when i drove the srt i thought it would beat the sh*t out of the cobalt, i guess it is a drivers race if both drivers are equal tho, the srt should pull.

I raced one the other evening..

It was probably the worst beating I have ever given a car....
His car was stock, so it was a very unfair mismatch.... slow....

Every cobalt SS thats delivered to the dealer is filled with 87 octane gas. How many of you where disapointed with your test drives and then filled a time or two w/ 93 octaine and saw a HUGE differance. No offence, but I wouldnt recomend judging a cobalt SS off a test drive....

The ss/sc might seem slower stock and brand new but thats only because they only boost 9 1/2- 10psi. till there broken in, so ya when you test drive the two, the srt does seem faster, but give it a couple month or so till the motor is broken in and the ss will smoke an srt, stock vs. stock.
