1LT - Include all the LS stuff, plus power door locks, power mirrors, floor mats, sport cloth seats, and power windows with a passenger lockout.

2LT- All the other stuff, plus front disk, rear drum ABS, cargo convenience area, cruise control, side moldings, remote start, and 16 inch rims.

3LT- All the other stuff, stainless steel exhaust system with chrome tip, white face sport gauges, sport package (spoiler, 16" rims, touring tires, leather wrapped steering wheel and shift knob).

And all the LT stuff are options that you can order on the LS, or that the dealer installed before hand.
That would be the 2006 model structure. In 2005, you had the Base, then the LS, in a 1sa or 1sb option pack, which became the 2006 LT trims. the Base was renamed to the LS in 2006. Why, I don't know. A GM rep laughed when I asked him about all the model name changing, then said "job security". I think he was probably half-serious.

oh thats too funny. when i had my 2.2 i raced some of my buddies 2.0. they were heavily modded cuz of cobalt addiction is local to us. they were runnin 60lbs injectors,2.6 pullies, other mods and tunes. i had a CAI and stayed with them up to top of 2nd...cuz of the gearin was good in the 2.2. other than that they destroy them all the time. i just cant wait to mod my 2.4 and show my buddies some fun. i got my 05 LS with sport package and all options except onstar n leather for like 15,500. sticker was like 20,000. it was the first 2dr balt on long island. its shwn they first came out. they got my car from MASS. good cars though.

okay first off... if a (redundant) dual exhaust for my little LS gave me 40hp, i would pay the money to get it. lol. that guy in the LS is an embarrassment to the rest of us LS guys. btw, i got my 07 LS coupe (5 spd.) for 11,500.

That guy is on the crack pipe, I have an intake and an exhaust and i am pulling 125 hp on a conservative superflow dyno. The 2.2 only puts down around 100 some hp to the wheels because of gearing and power loss in the tranni. oh and just to let you know on the same dyno stock 2.0's were putting down 211 hp. The only way he could have 195 hp right now is with an alpine turbo kit or a 75 shot of nitrous.

oh and i payed 14,000 for my ls (it was 05 so the prices were a bit high still)

$500 to build a motor? i didnt know walmart sold engine components!...but hey while hes there he might as well pick up some NOS floor matts, buy a coffe can and cut out the bottom, and get some decals... those alone would put him up to 195hp! ahah 5hp to the wheels per decal!

Whatta' retard... Got raped by the dealer and then thought you get 50 hp from an exhaust...it's prolly slower than stock because of the weight!

Not stock. The 2.2L is one of the most race inspired engines out there.

clearly this guy bases his HP numbers on the numbers the manfacturer claims.

"Basically the intake gives me 15hp, and the exhaust gives me around 20hp. The tornado vortex thing gives me another 10hp so i think that puts me somewhere around 195ish to the wheels."

I can't understand how people claim such large gains from exhaust or intake...either some people are just really easy to please or all the hype just leaves me disappointed in the end. The only thing exhaust did was change the tone of my car...even with manufacturer claims, ass dyno doesn't even give that much HP.

This guy needs to try some nitrous or some boost before he can start dreaming of real gains...it'll make spending money on anything else a waste of time.

with that said...time to watch the vids

ok, just watched the vids and LOL...especially that 2nd one, wow. gone fishin lately?

Same thing occurred in the past too...I remember kids down the block in the '70s talking about their bone-stock Camaros and Monte Carlos running 9s in the 1/4 mile!
