ss/sc vs 240sx

I was driving to my girlfriends apartment the other night and all of the sudden a 240sx blew by me followed by a blacked out ford sedan, then a 5.0 all of which reved their motors at me and tried to race me. I got a clear strip of road with the 240sx. I downshifted and he was on my back bumper. I heard his turbo spool and i hit it. We were going about 55 and i was in third. I held him on my back bumper till about 70 then i walked away from him. I dont know what mods he had. At least exhaust and he had a triple gauge piller but that could have been just for looks. The turbo spool was pretty loud but ive never heard a 240 spool before so it could have been how they all sound. I have s2 cai and catback

Nice kill dude, those 240's can be very quick if they have a sr20det swap in them.

I believe he did have the sr20det swap since he said he heard the turbo. do you think it was one of the late models... the ones without the pop up headlights? those cars are very quick, they make 245+ hp. they are rwd but around our curb weight. nice kill tho

^^ well in that case, those are slower. but still quick for an older car. if you would have been stock it could've been a head to head race

the s13 model is lighter then the s14..... they both came wit ka24de motors.. the s14 is heavier..... so how is the s13 slower??? plus wit an sr20det the s13 is lighter and makes the same power as a swapped s14.....

side note the s13 sr20det motor puts down 200hp the s14 sr20det motor puts down 220hp or so....these are stock numbers for the jdm s13 and s14....

LOL @ all the SR comments. Probably a fairly stock SR or lightly boosted KA. Probably not making more then 225 whp.

Nah. You'd need upped boost, which is stupid common, to hang with an S2. Oh and much isn't required for a swap.

Something like that lol. Still took me 2 months in my driveway with just hand tools and no help.

FYI, fuel pump is required if running stock boost.

Yeahh. Most people do the upgrades I got, which is considering basic bolt ons.

-intake
-box
-fmic
-o2 housing
-downpipe
-catless
-cat back
-fuel pump
-safc

Just a short list.

no sir, spending +5k on turboing a ka is not cheap.

Whoa "bub" lets get some things straight here. I never claimed that it was an sr20 all i said is that i heard it spool. I blatantly stated that i have no idea what his mods were and im not going to take a guess because i know nothing about 240s. So next time lets try to get our facts straight before you "give me some school"

Yes I read the responses. He's saying that I was the one saying it was swapped when it was other members. If it was directed to another member than that's fine. At the end of his post he said "good kill though" therefore directing it at me.

i quoted you for the good kill

BUT i was referring to whoever assumed it was an sr. im not flaming, but i just wanted make a point, that an SR20 swap is VERY common in 240's most of the time and if its not, its either a ka-t or the infamous ca18det. ****, if it was an rb swap, youd be dead, but it wasnt. my bet was a sr or ca too. i know i prolly get annoying but when it comes to nissans and i sense some ignorance on someone who talks about them but doesnt know crap, then i explode with rant and schooling. not saying its u tho
