sooo...driving home from work when some kid in a VR4 pulls up next to me at a red light. Im thinking to myself.."man, thats twin turbo..nice..he'd beat me"..well this kid starts rolling back and forth at the light...trying to get me to run him so he can show off in front of his girl. I just sit there calm, look at him and give him the little "nice car" look. Light turns green, he guns it...and i gun it. Off the line i was about at his door, by 100 i was about a car ahead of him...idk why, i figured i would get toasted. But ne way...it was fun, and a big surprise...and his girl just winked at me as they turned at the next light..lol

i've seen LS cobalts with SS on the trunk.. .. not calling bs. just funny thought. i raced a single turbo one that drives around here and smoked him baaaaad.. probably a shitty ebay turbo set up, plus i'm a pretty good driver

 

idk...those are paint on badges...it would be hard to replicate, but ne thing is possible! either way he looked like a douche bag when it was all said and done

um heres the thing too people are forgetting people is that vr4s typically have the living ***** beaten out of them, so that 320 hp is at best but very unlikely.

 

well i put a couple cars on a NON vr4 by the end of 2ND...those are slow

I used to own a sl. it is quick but its not quite as quick as a ss sc. imo there is no way that was a tt.

 

theres a guy in my town that has the vr-4 engine in an ls. its only fwd but weighs 800lbs than the vr4, and runs 13.2 at the track

 

good kill. I can see it happen. The last vr4 was made in 99'..and those were rare. So I can see a 10 year old stock car not having that 320hp anymore.

 

I beat a mustang gt with exhaust and they have what around 320 hp and they weigh 3400 lbs, i see it possible. Those vr4's are awd too, there turbos take awhile to spool but when they do they move pretty good.

 

there was a VR4 at the track a couple seasons ago it was running high 13's i think the best run i saw was a 13.6?

if i had my SS/SC with the mods i have i could have kept up/beaten him given i didnt screw up, drivers race...but for a mostly stock ss/sc?...gooooo he must have sucked, not double shifting like he should.

how did you see the vr-4 on the back if he pulled up next to you when you were at the light and you were never behind him the whole race? he should have wasted you. and whoever said the turbos on a vr4 take a while to spool.....

 

a vr4 tt is a supra killer stock for stock, those things simple bolt ons or even bigger turbo they are so quick wow.

Hey just sayin about the turbos take awhile to spool...I used to have honda prelude(h22) i/e/e plugs and plug wires and I torched a vr4 out of the whole and was probably a car ahead untill about 70 and I was right next to him till 90 then he blew past me
