ss/sc vs 335i sedan

on my way home today i raced a 335i sedan on the highway from 70 to 120, he started about a car ahead of me, floored it a split second before me, and only pulled another car by 120, i lost, but thats not a bad result considering all i have is exhaust...

has anyone raced one before?

Not to bad of a loss though!

I've raced quite a few needless to say they didn't win. Once you upgrade those pulley and injectors you'll be good to go

i thought they were faster
i have exhaust, and i've seen stage 2 cobalts just inching on g35'sm the 335 is faster... my header dp exhaust made much more power than i thought it would

Just gotta be careful to watch for the ones with the aftermarket tunes...

hungryhip on here ran one when he was 2.7, 60's, meth, full exhaust, and lost by like half a car.

some break into high 11's with aggressive tunes, this one was bone stock, with an airbox mod i think i would have been dead even with it

ye i know all about them, i plan on getting one used sometime down the road, with simple mods their really mean cars, but the downside is the price of a decent exhaust for a car like that is So high

i just check into the car's dyno results, i found a source but i dont believe it, apparently they dyno between 280-290 at the wheels on a dyno jet, that doesnt make sense to me, unnless they are seriously under rated, and the car would have beet me by much more if it had that power

he did beat my by a bit, and they are beasts, it would completely destroy me from a dig, at the rate he was pulling im sure that an airbox mod would have evened it out. i was in a 535i a little while ago, and it felt much faster than my car... all this doesnt add up lol, ill try to race my friends 535 and see what happens

I raced one before, all I got us stage 2 and airbox mod, and the first race was at like 70 like yours but his rear end was only at my front end, then we raced again and he got a jump on me and he just kept pulling he got like a car or two in front of me and I just let off, so I really don't know which one to go by, but either way I lost

why? tune yours and you could take a stock one easy. idk how they respond to mods but i would say prolly a lightly modded one as well

Stock against stock... I'm not talking modded. Anyway, my comment was towards the op's setup and he agrees, it should've been quicker.

They beat a stock TC for sure. Those 335 have an awesome drivetrain.

they trap at 103-105, not so much faster than a tc

Well I'm not stock and I can hang with stock 335's and 135's (I have played with 2, and then 1 tuned 135 and it destroyed me)
