whats up guys. i haven't posted since i totaled my black ss/sc in june, now i have an 06 yellow ss/sc with 1300 miles on it. ok to the story... i was on my way to my moms in rehobeth beach last night, i was on 695 just cruisin at 70 when i see tailights come up. it was a 92 gutted civic with the fart can. he paces me i'm thinkin i got this, i look over and he hand gestures me to 55mph roll so i'm thinkin thats a bad place to start at the top of second and have to shift right back in third while his civic will still rev to 8 or 9000rpms, o well. . i downshift to second beep 3 times were off. i pulled on him with the rest of 2nd and shift to 3rd and im still pullin. i then look over and he's now walkin me i'm thinkin wtf!! then i see it black smoke puffin out. we slow back down to 60 due to traffic then when it clears we gun it from 50 same senario, i walk him with ease then poof right by me.. ok now im gettin pissed. after that run i tell him to wind down the window and im like what do u got done this fckin idiot mocks me like he can't hear me. then he says it's a 1.8 with no forced induction in a smart ass tone. i tried tellin him my ***** not broken in yet im still only pushin 10psi. all in all he was a noob. i'm not that mad because my **** wasn't broken in all the way yet and he was sprayin and you could tell he had engine work done by the way it sounded. it just felt like my **** was slow. my black one had 18000miles on it and it felt stronger with every mile. maybe if i would've had 5,000miles on her and a couple oil changes on her it would've been diff. not a bad time can't win them all......

i knew making that post was going to start some ****, everybody is entitled to there own opinion and theres mine, i just hate when people buy a $200 civic, a $1000 b16, and a $300 dollar nitrous kit and think there king ****, but that is my opinion u can like it or lump it i dont really give a ****

damn this board had ppl that are quick to jump down your throat..im not mad i lost i was pissed he was a dick. this is the war story section riiight... yeah so i posted one up. stop flaming. and yeah i know what the ss can do i had one for a year b4 this and the one i have now only has 1300miles on it and still only hits 9-10 psi of booost. i posted this up because dude was just fkin with me. we would take off and as i was just about to put 2 car lengths on him he would hit the spray and walk me. it was all in good fun tho.. wasn't going to run him till he ran out because i shouldn't of even raced in the first place without it being broken in yet, just couldn't pass that one up..
that was just probably his lack of torque that caused him to start far back...you don't just "hit the nitrous", theres no red button pushing involved.
also no matter what anyone tells u modding a civic is not cheap. B16 swaps go for like 3 grand and he probably had bolt ons and some headwork done on top of that.

ppl think are cars should be fast from the gate just because of F.I. they don't understand they must be broke in and broke in properly before they hit full boost. i still have my temp. registration tag in the window so that should've tipped him off. you shouldn't sleep on those older hatches there light as ****!
ok hatrick.. this is my second ss they both only hit 9- 10psi till i had about 2-3000 miles on it. i don't believe i got 2 lemons did i?? my black one that was totaled hit 12.5 after 3500 miles and was getting stronger with every mile

everyone time I goto the track I see 5-10 civic hatches and sedans runing 12's. I've yet to see an SS/SC run a 12 (I know they exist I know people on this forum have done it). But why is it so hard to believe that a possible 11-12 second Civic on juice (maybe) beat a 14 second stock SS/SC?
u have to understand this is my second one in two years. got both brand new happend with both of them. with my 05 i wasn't really impressed till it had 5000 miles with a copule of oil changes under it's belt. anybody else agree it doesn't hit full boost till its borken in??
