SS.SC Vs Celica GT Turbo

well, I know its no match, but you never know when a car can be making 400whp or not. Anyways, it was the GT no the GTS> From a 60 I just put like 4 cars on him to 120, and from a 40 I left him standing still, he looked like he needed a tune he was blowing lots of black smoke, his BOV was really loud though, didnt sound like he was only boosting 8lbs.

Maybe next time you run into him he'll have a better tune. That should make things interesting.

And yes, we all care. Its just that we choose to ignore sometimes.

Nice kill!

I care but you also should be running a good amt. of power with your setup so no shame in losing by 4 cars.

thats pretty decent for a GT in my opinion...if I could stay within 4 cars of a 2.5" pulled LSJ in my 2.2 I wouldn't be mad.

Why the hell would you even both putting a turbo on a GT? You would need a decent one just to put out the same HP that the GT-S puts out. So it doesn't surprise me that he wasn't tuned correctly... any idiot that would throw a Turbo on a GT is a moron in my opinion and it showed in their tune apparently.

this is true. the gt-s is a better engine by far. only reason people think that a gt is better suited for boosting is their compression ration of 10:1 vice a gt-s 11.5:1. but in the long run to get a GT to where a GT-S would be normally would take alot of engine work (cams, rods, pistons, etc.) that GT probably was running the C2power stg1 kit which pushes 6psi w/ a sard R2D2 BOV and makes like 200-210whp using the GReddy. vice a GT-S on same kit pushing 250-260. also a gt-s was built for high compression.. the gt was made for economy!

this is CelicaGT-ST by the way

i used to have a celica gt-s and that lift sucked. i traded it in cuz the gt-s is not suited good for boost, not the cr im talking about either. lift doesnt work well with boost. give me a gt anyday and itll run a hell of a lot better with a turbo.

I love the 7th gen Celicas! They're sexalicious! Good kill though. I think a GTS turbo woudl be a better challenge for you.

Good kill.

CelicaGT-ST, I still love your car dude! Its hot!
