oh ok i was looking at the gmpp manifold
well if you ask me, if you have the money go turbo. i say this because if you want more its 10x easier to achieve hp than a tvs. i have a 05 ss/sc and was recently converted to turbo with the hahn kit and on a mediocre tune the **** dips soooooo ******* hard its just stupid. but dont do it just for one race, do it for you.

hahn=$$ trust me but to me its worth every pennie. i still dont regret the money i spent. i kno myself and i was going to get a tvs and call it a day but i thought to myself and i wasn't going to be happy with it for long so i did the turbo and man the car drives better than before and it just nasty. it puts you on the level on racing bikes. i raced 3 so far and only one pulled me at mid 4th gear and mind you i have a 2 1/2" cat back still.

well that 2 1/2 is sorta nice cuz it's keeping you with some back pressure. i went from the gmpp touring to the 3" vibrant and wow i can feel the lack of bottom end. lol i still need to get it retuned though idk how much of a difference it will make. like i said i lost by a car before untuned and now he is tuned so idk the difference will be.

That's a bit high, but the gist is right. You're going to need more than bolt ons to run with a full bolt on MR. He's probably capable of trapping 112+ and with their awd you can't even consider a dig. If he swaps the hairdryer, THEN he could be 450awhp, 400awhp, 500awhp, whatever. Any way you look at it, you're toast. Don't be too discouraged though, the 9 is a fantastic car.

Dont mod your car to beat 1 other car. Thats not going to get you very far in the long run. All he has to do is drop in some cams/retune, or add meth/retune and you are back to square 1. I had an SS/SC prior to owning my IX MR and now my X GSR. I've gone through the scenario you have described. Here is what an I/E/Cams/Tune is capable of:

I know the cars owner as he is local to me. You will need to trap somewhere around that to have a shot at your buddy. Just out of curiosity, what makes you say that the IX MR was the best Evo ever made?

I don't understand why you guys are critisizing him so much. It's good to have friendly competition. It ends up making you both faster in the long run. I remember being in high school and one of my best friends and I both had cars that we kept modding against each other. That was fun times.

Go race him for fun and find out. Thats what its all about! My friend has an 8 MR and he was trapping 120+ at the track last year but I still race him just to see that thing move out
I should mention that he has a 2.3 stroker, precision 6262, 282 cams, and shepard 5-speed trans...that may be useful info lol
