umm.. how did he only have a 3.0 pulley and intake?
they have 3.8" pullies stock...
Thats like throwing a 2.5" pulley on a BONE STOCK cobalt.
he CLEARLY has more work done to that car, because with that much knock retard that he is getting, he is slower than a STOCK grand prix GTP

sYP know you have/had a gtp and i know you have done a lot of work to them but i have worked and been friends with this kid for a while now and i know for a fact all it is a 3.0 pulley and an intake...how the car is running is beyond me
and no knock what so ever...
A-his mods made that car a monster
or
B- my driver mod still is at lvl 1

Something isnt right here.... I ran one a while ago and was a 1/2 car ahead when we shut down. He had an exhaust and "zzp" stickers so I figured he might have been pullied to. We ran from a dig and got a good launch out of the hole... he seemed to be a bit sluggish for that amount of tq. I thought I would be gettin raped froma dig but I came out on top.
I spun like a sob in 2nd too, he was on it good and made up the distance. I only had an intake at the time. If I had stg 2 at that time, I would have destroyed him. At the top of third , approx 100mph I had a half car and was starting to creep, he shut down and took off without a wave etc.
I think that GTP you lost too was done up good. I still hate how boaty they look.

I would belive it, a kid I know has a Regal GS and he had like a 3.0 and intake on his and he might have had exhaust to but Im not sure and he drove it with nothing else. I will tell you he ended up blowing the motor but he still drove it for that long and beat the **** out of that car.

i can believe he ran it till it blew up shortly after...
but it is a proven fact that a car with TOO small of a pulley with NO supporting mods, will run slower than itself in STOCK form.

So how is he just have a pulley and a intake but can read knock...... either he has a tuner of somesort or a scangauge? Their is no way in hell that he is running that. A buddy of mine is running, zzp computer, downpipe, jmb intake, and a stock cobalt pulley and i would almost guess he might be running some knock on hotter days.

ok just like everyone thought... my cousin has a stock GTP comp G... and if you drop .8 inches on any SC without any tune... you're going to **** something up... that sucks for him... but i mean ... seriously... hahn has a 2.4 thats runnin 400 WHP and it's on stock internals... but it's for a matter of how long not that it's doing it... whenever you get a major mod... you need a tune
