buddy of mine has an SC'd S2k and he rapes the **** out of my car from a dig or a roll.

 

I took a stock 2005 too and a modded 2000 with my car on a full 1/4 mile

 

there are no mods in your sig. it says some quote and ...15psi.. if your runing that much boost. idk from a dig he will def get you from a roll will be your strong point. i already watched a gm stage 2 2.9 pulley race a S2k with cat-back and intake from a roll and they were next to each other until around 110? i guess and the S2k pulled a half car or a full car, cant remember. and the S2k had a slipping clutch might i ad. from a dig he will PWNNNNNNN you i can swear to that. i watched the same S2k i just talked own a gm s2 balt off the line and i mean OWN. the cobalt spun allllllll of first gear and the s2k chirped coming off the line. unless you have 50% 1 gear boost reduction or you can launch without spinning the whole time. you might do ok. but still lose. whats the s2k's mods?

 

you guys all have more mods than me. but i am dropping in a 2,8 and 60's in 2 weeks. Oh and he is stock or maybe just and Exhaust and intake

My mods are GM stage 2, GMPP catback, and airbox

 

From a 40 roll you should squeeze out a win...it will be tough from a dig unless you rule at launching.

 

well my s2 zzp can beat a gm stage 2 from a dig but i cant beat my boys s2k and he's just the cat-back and intake i 4got which year also. and i also have a stock exhaust... can you launch your bad boy good HONESTLY. how much do u spin in first and second?

 

as someone who owned an S2 SC, fairly modded, and who wrecked that and now owns an S2000.......... from a dig, he'll get you, from a roll you'll get him, not by a lot, but you will.

I know my S is not as quick as my Cobalt was....I miss the whine, but love the growl.

as for a turboed S, not a chance....unless the owner just has no clue how to drive, he's gone.

 

Honest, i can launch pretty decent, i control my first gear pretty good and slip second with minimal spin, maybe for a split second.

My buddy with the s2k though is a pretty damn good driver, Had 3 different civic SI's fully built in the past 4 years.

 

i suggest dont spin at all coming out of the hole, your 60ft will determine if he beats you by 3-4 cars or 1 car. either way from a dig he is gonna get you if he does have an intake and exhaust. so when u race him from a dig already know your gonna lose but give it a 100% and say ok my turn lets go from a roll 40-45, i dont think he will be at VTECH at that speed. i'll race my friends SI at a 40-45 roll, we wont be hitting vtech until 50. than here is me already at full boost and a car or 2 ahead lol

 

speed has nothing to do with vtec, it's all rpms, if he's stock it kicks in between 5500 and 6500, can't remember exactly.....just gotta wind it out and know how to shift to keep the revs up

if he is modded i don't think you have a chance either way if not than idk from a roll but you should loose a dig....... my buddies has intake, header, and a test pipe i think that is it and when i was stock put 1 or 2 on me he ran 13.2 @104 or 105..... here is a vid with his car vs my friends wrx (wrx ran 12.9 @ i forget mph)

Ok, I own a S2K and a Cobalt. If he is stock you will get him. If he has intake and a cat-back you will be fine. Any more mods then that you will be done.

and fyi: not much modding can be done to an S unless you pony up a good chunk of change.

main benefit of an exhaust is to drop weight, not necessarily to free up HP, the stocker is pretty good as is.

 

I owned a 2001 s2000 for 3 years. On a dig, you rev it to 7000 rpm and let out the clutch. It hooks up very well and is a great car out of the hole (regardless of torque). I now have my ss, and I know from a dig you will loose. On a 40 role you will win with your mods.

 

I'm with Kornkid on this one, back when I was stock I ran an '00 S2K and it was a fairly decen run. I got him by about half a car from rolls and he got me by a dig. Now that I am stage 2 I actually ran Sean's (Arkornkid) S2k, and I was actually surprised at how well the thing held it's ground. A car maybe? From a 40 roll?

 

yup, and I was running with driver mod 1.0 at the time...now I've got v1.4

 

depends on the years cause my friend WALKED (a bus) on a 00 with more mods than his 04

 

never mind it is not an 04, it is a 2001 with intake and nvidia catback.

I dont konw if this matters or not?
