Well I was driving home last night at about 12:00 with one of my friends. This guy has an orange prelude that he thinks is bad ass. He's got an exhaust and some kind of turbo for sure as he had a full pillar and you could hear the BOV. Well I didn't know he if knew he would get smacked but I drove a few car lenghts ahead of him to see what he would do.. He decided a nice ricer fly-by would be nice. He revved up his engine so I thought alright i'll rev mine up.. As soon as i do that he's off. We're at about 100 and he was ahead of me and there was a turning lane and just the 1 lane to go through this light.. I went through teh turning lane and passed him because I wasn't going to allow that.. Another mile up the road we pull up to a light right in the middle of our city. Time for a real race.. We take off and I burn him off the line and finish about 3 car lenghts ahead. I decided to flash my hazards to **** him off a little. The dude thinks his cars hot **** soo I shut him up for now

My neighbor has a 2.2 prelude/na with all the aftermarket goodies and he takes my car out for a ride 1 week after buying it and he says he could probably keep up with me but would not beat me

When I was up at the race track there was a prelude sh there with a turbo and he was only doing 14.7's, Im not sure what turbo he had but I would like to have raced him but it didn't happen. so they are not that fast, they are pretty heavy.

I've seen a turbo prelude pull a 13.5....not that impressive for the time and money.

PS. I know NOTHING about turbo preludes so he could still have been working the bugs out...

 

my stock cobalt does 15.75, i know a turbo prelude does better than 15.5

I love when dumb people throw a turbo on their car and have no clue about tuning it! I have run into one of these "turbo" Preludes myself. I also walked his ass, that thing sounded terrible! Not to say I haven't run across stupid SS/SC owners! This kid in my area has an intake, exhaust, and 3" pulley. I destroyed his ass! He had no clue how desperately his car needed a tune!? He never even heard of Intense!

 

I hear a whole lot of talk and not enough intelligence in this thread.
